The hood on that mustang lifts quite a bit.

Yup sure does. Figure that the amount of pressure lifting that hood is lifting the whole front end of the car. There is that much less traction on the front tires. Explains why almost every race car you see has a vented hood. Even if it is connected directly to the radiator it is still reducing front end lift. The Tiger racing hood for the s197 was claimed to have cut lap times at their test track by 2 seconds.

Wow, very interesting video, vented hood makes a lot of sense now!
Insane to see what these S550s are capable of!

Got the final tuning done yesterday. Did a remote tune with Lund. We're in SE Michigan he's in Pennsylvanian I think. Anyway while nerve wracking it want pretty smoothly. Did 5 full on runs and four warm up runs and the car stayed cool with no special treatment, no big fans, no ice, no long cool down times. Just shut it off exchanged emails loaded tune and ran it again. Never got close to pulling time due to getting hot. Made close to 550 at the rear wheels by the end. Remember this car has factory exhaust manifolds and cats. Uses a closed air box with no fan forcing air into it on the dyno. That is the hottest supercharger running the coolest temperatures Lund had ever seen. This is one install that will deliver on the street what it delivered on the dyno.

550rwhp I am running the stock headers and cats with cat back system. I am running the 62pph ones from the Ford GT500 from 2013 and 2014. Sometimes you see these rated at 55 but that is at a lower pressure.

Are those the ones that you're running out of fuel with?

Got pics of the K brace by itself? I am curious to see how you made it work.
