You can do a real quick test pretty easily. Just yank the dome light down and tap into the mic directly.

On topic, am excited for this unit and am happy to see potential improvements to the mic. Also interested in seeing if we can wire in factory mic

Ok, thank you, and that brings up the question, does AUTO work? Does it hold at a temp? That's climate control and a nice feature not in the base Mustang. If not, no loss, I think this unit is the most promising yet.
