Ok, thank you, and that brings up the question, does AUTO work? Does it hold at a temp? That's climate control and a nice feature not in the base Mustang. If not, no loss, I think this unit is the most promising yet.

Auto does not work. You can only use the touch screen to adjust where the air blows, and rear defrost. No temp, no fan speed. It just displays fan speed when you change it.

No, it just shows everything that would be option across the different trims (including dual climates). That's why we're trying to figure out if we can get the popup altered by what is actually available and/or disabled. Why would you need a popup for something that you have full physical control+visibility over? It just seems redundant. Volume it makes sense because it shows what level you're at, but A/C is already fully shown on the physical controls.

Is this what you guys wanted? If not, let me know. I also attached the pdf of this image (ignore the filename, it's just what I called it when saving).

Something that annoys me is the temp control has no indicator and the marker is basically transparent. It'd be great if there was a level indicator similar to fan speed led.

What is the auto HVAC feature you speak of? Thought that was premium only.
Or is it a feature on remote start option ?

Call quality is great- For the person in the car. The Mic on the other hand, is subpar. Sounds very distant to the person you're calling. I already reported that back to them on my behalf and Nagare's. I also asked if there's a way to disable the HVAC OSD, and they're going to try and remove it for the Beta, as well as a better Mic.

As for booting, there seems to be 2 versions. One is a quick boot, where it just reinitializes the CANBUS and GPS when you get in, and it will show the boot logo for maybe 3 seconds. There's also the "cold boot" where it takes about 15 seconds of boot logo, then shows the home screen, and it starts initializing the GPS and CANBUS again, so you see the boot logo for 2-3 seconds and it's ready.

I haven't figured out the science behind it, but already reported it, and waiting for updates.

Also, something I noticed about this that is much better than the Tesla...

When I used remote start with the Tesla, it always put the HVAC on whatever the last setting was. Here in Eastern NC, we may have a 75 degree day, and a 22 degree overnight, so that was inconvenient. This one still retains the Auto HVAC feature, so if it's cold out, it turns your front and rear defrost on, as well as heat.

I'm gonna start referring to Nagare and I as "Alpha Testers."

So, just look at your temp dial like you always have. I'm pushing to have the HVAC screen removed completely.

Close, those are the connections that go into the CD Player. There's one connector with 54 pins on it that I think is the one.

With remote start, it automatically turns on Heat or AC dependent on ambient temperature.

There is a way to turn on the premium Auto feature (but not dual zone) on units that control HVAC as well, but that's pointless.

On this head unit I'd rather the display be absent than incorrect also. But I'm talking about the factory control is stupid. There is no kind of indicator. It should have an led or something on the temp control.

I get what you're saying now, I never notice it though because mine is always set to the lowest option and almost never changes since I'm in South Florida. It does have that little indicator, but you do have to be looking for it a bit I guess.

Yup. I noticed this right away. Just got the car in Sept. And in TN we have 20 degree mornings and 60 degree afternoons occasionally. Since there is no directionality to the knob it's kind of annoying to make fine adjustment while driving. Usually I turn it to one extreme and then back where I want it.

Yes it does, HotBadgerFart had both the phone and ODB connected. I don't have one so I can't show you anything on that.

Does Bluetooth odb work on this? I don't see the specs anywhere?
Works like a charm. On the BT screen, you just set the PIN to whatever the default PIN is for your OBD2 dongle, then pair it. Then pair your phone. Done.

On a side note, if anyone here knows someone who is a legit Android Developer, please put us in touch!

(Rooting and installing a ROM from XDA does not equal being a dev, for the record. I need someone capable of decompiling, signing, and compiling packages.)

If you can't find anybody here, I would post in this XDA forum and see if you can get somebody.
