Finally had a chance to run my car on Saturday. The car has a Procharger P1X with a Circle D converter. It's supposed to be a 4000 stall. I tried leaving at 1500 rpms and it only did a 1.62 60' and on my second try I tried leaving at 2200 and it only went 1.65. The second run had to be aborted as it would not make the 3/4 shift. The first run it was 70 degrees out and the second was 77 degrees. Just trying to find out what other people are doing to get a better 60.

Yes, first gear leave.
If it’s dead hooking, with a SLR of 16.7:1, and a 3800-4000 stall converter and only pulling low 1.6’s. Somethings wrong.

That should be catapulting out of the hole in the 1.4’s no problem. You are footbraking to 1800-2000? I’d the converter actually flashing above 3500 when you release the brake, and smash the throttle?

I think it should 1.4 sixty also. I sent the data logs off to Wengerd to see if he sees anything odd going on. First pass I foot braked to 1500 and second was 2200. I was doing high 1.6 sixty foot with the stock converter. This converter will probably need to be loosened up.

My guess is that it’s not 4000 stall. My bud has a 3800-4000 stall 10R80, and even on the street before it locks up, it’s flashing above 3700 easily. he going to be testing it at the drag strip very soon, and his setup is a centri/10R80 combo. He also will be on 305/45/17 Street R’s. He’s also near 4100lbs. He put 3.15’s in his, so his SLR is a tad taller.

I'm thinking it's more like a 3000-3200. Circle D spec'd it out for me. Not good enough for a centri car.

What about a transbrake? Can't that be enabled in the tune with a 10r80 car? My car leaves pretty hard 1.39(confident it can do better), but I need a transbrake with the turbos. With that centrifugal supercharger, a transbrake may help alot.

A trans brake is probably in order. Mr Wengerd sent me an updated tune to try. He also said my fuel pressure was dropping into the 30's and the IAT's got up to 150 degrees.

I've got a 245mm 3x9 Circle D converter in my car. I find it works best just mashing the gas off idle and let it flash. Easy 1.4 60fts that way. I have tried foot braking it to 2000-2500 and its far less consistent. Any suspension work at all?
