and he doesn’t mention DA at all, and doesn’t say anything about weight reductions like brakes or anything until trying to hit 9s
The Gen 2 MT82 gearing is killer too, especially with a 3.73 out back.

i trying lowering to 3500 one time last time out and it didn’t help dropped the clutch and it still spun
Well you want some slip w/ bias plies. Can't comment on yer suspension set-up as I'm not to savvy on the viking stuff. Also cause mine is bone stock except for STEEDA IRS alignment & lockout bushing kit, & UPR Pro-Series Billet V-links. Good enough for High 1.5 low 1.6 60's w/ MT ET Street R bias plies w/ some spin. Dead hooking in these cars kill yer 60ft. Ask me how I know. Don't know how base GT stock shocks are bias on rebound/compression side of things, but it works very well (at least for me). That's why I kept them. Here you can see how my car squats on the hit (click on pic).

I’m still running the factory 3.73.
Yeah.. dunno what Ford was thinking with the 18+ MT82.
Here's a comparison (18+ in red)

Yeah, that’s nuts. When I was rebuilding my tranny, I asked around about installing MT82 gearing, but no one knew whether it was doable.
