I've had the same thing happen with 285 pumps. Getting the fuel out of the tank and cleaning it is no fun.

Damn your truck is nice. I have a friend with a 22 F150 4X4 with a Whipple and it's a fun truck.

I had the same thing happen to me. The excess heat from the pumps running fuel speed burns up the brushes in the pumps. I had a set fail fairly quick on me. The set I'm on now are almost two years old and I'm going to replace them. I run the TI 285 pumps.

Congrats on the new best! That 35 mph back half is great in the heat.

I've been 143 in the 1/4 mile and it does not shift into 7th gear.

Built 10R80 and 3.55 gears. It shifts around 7800 rpms.

It looks like our cars are setup almost the same. I went with the 315/50/17 tire and I can do 60-130 pulls no problem.

I haven't had a chance to run it again. During those passes my fuel pressure was dropping. Had a pump go down and the other was right behind it. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll get to run it again.

That's awesome. I've seen some of his post on facebook about trying to get an 8 out of the car.
