LOL. I have suspected for a while the “upgrades “ applied the predator block are already also applied to the Gen 3 Coyote .

Only real difference seems to be the displacement. .

shoot.... if I had known for sure I would probably have skipped 5.2 build and just stuck with the Gen 3 coyote block .
I did save a bit on the voodoo pistons /Manley rods so I am not far off where I would be with the building a Gen 3 coyote .... as long as I don’t get fancy and use the $1200 crank . Lol

Just don't use the Predator balancer wow!

I think he meant the 5.2 Alluminator.

They also upgraded the block to the 6010-52MB so it also now has the 6 knock sensor bosses .

I am only referring to the bare block, as of course the predator comes with better rods and pistons .

Gotcha. Can you get just an alliminator short block?

As of now the “generation 3 “ Alluminator short block is not available . The 5.2 Alluminator only comes in a compete engine that cost $17-$20k.

I doubt the older version short blocks (both 11:1 and 9.5:1) will work on an 18+ since they does not have the right number of knock sensor bosses or the DI pistons .

I just pulled the trigger on some drop in Mahle forged pistons for the Gen 3 and the Manley H Tuff rods rated at 1200+ HP.

Sport compact warehouse has 10% off the whole site. Pistons were $668 and rods $750! No tax and free shipping.

Block delivers Wednesday... im stoked to get my build going.

I can’t seem to find them on their website .

I might be changing my plans now that I know the “predator” block is really not much different to Gen 3 coyote block .

It is quite a deal as that combo is about $1900 on other websites most of the time.

Too late for this build now but not too soon to start gathering parts to rebuild the one coming out ..... got to always have a spare . Lol
