The idea should not require any modifications to the stock turbine housing. That ball and socket flange is bolted to the turbine housing with the exhaust studs. Basically my idea is making custom downpipes that bolt directly to the turbine housing instead of an adapter between the housing and pipe. That should provide clearance while doing the same job as those adapters from SPD performance are doing with reducing back pressure in the turbine.I thought about that too but its custom as heck and u make the turbos pretty worthless to someone else once you start hacking the housings. I thought a rotated coupling flange would be a good "kit" compromise. Couple of metal adapters and bam...really need need measurements though.
