3.31 MT-82 dyno -5th too much mph

I'm going to be heading back to the dyno first time since installing the 3.31s. I plan on revving to 8,000 rpm, which with a 27.7 inch tire and MT-82 is about 199mph in 5th gear. This high mph seems like flirting with disaster and just asking for a tire to blow out.

I was wondering what others were doing in terms of dynoing in 4th vs 5th to keep the mph within spec of the tire.

Dynoing in 4th is fine as long as you always use 4th going forward.

Is'nt 4th gear 1:1? I had the same problem on my a10 a few weeks ago. With a 3.15 gear in 7th (1:1) we exceeded the dyno's max 200mph and could not get a clean run recorded. I know my car makes about 30rwhp less in 6th gear vs 7th gear.

Wont work,if your exceed 167mph the ecm limits anymore mph.I had to do my dyno pull in 4th gear because the ecm shut it down.

I disconnected my speed sensors and was able to exceed the factory cut off. On the 18s it was 186mph.

Thats a good idea,did u have any lights come on when you unplugged them?,.18's might be higher then the 15/17.

Yes, I believe the ABS. Went back off after we plugged them back in.

For '11-17 5th gear is 1:1. 2018+ made 4th gear 1:1.
