2720, and I believe truck scales tend to weigh a bit high. Besides the interior, nothing looks crazy about the car in regards to reduction. Any guesses on how? He doesn't reveal what was involved and Im jealous :cwl:

I know the basics...probably carbon doors, obvious carbon trunk, manual, base pack, minimal if any exhaust given the sound. But there's got to be more he found somewhere.

Not only that but I bet for something like a track car, steering response and feedback from the car would be awesome. Thats almost as light as my first little honda :cwl:

Turns out, they only has to take out the engine and transmission, and remove the brakes. Good to go

Ahahah, I donā€™t know how much that would help. I ainā€™t got much Fred Flinstone power in these feet šŸ˜‚

Its not a mystery, the whole dash is out it has the plastic lexan dash the cj cars get. There is so much you can remove from it if you are willing to go that far.

The dash saves 70 lbs. You go through the normal protocol with a stock engine and trans and youā€™re looking at maybe 3100, 3000 tops, from a 3700-3800 stock curb weight. Thereā€™s more to it.

Itā€™s also actually a carbon fiber dash. Stock windows and Iā€™m pretty certain windshields as well. Could be optic armor but pretty sure they arenā€™t.

Its 125lbs more than my 2000 Escort ZX2 S/R. I can't IMAGINE that with over 400HP.

Carbon doors/fenders/lexan windows/AC/PS delete, manual rack. 1 seat prob, carpet removed, body impact bumpers prob removedā€¦..no electronics, probably 4 piston front brakes and lightweight wheels

Removing all safety bracing, airbags, and so forth is worth a couple to a few hundred pounds. Strip the interior for a few hundred more. Go CF body panels and your there.

I wouldnā€™t recommend pulling airbags, bumper bracing, and crumple-tested panels for an on-road car though.

Iā€™m in the camp of add more boost keep the heated seats and ac.
If you got the money and time you can get as light as your pocket book allows. If you had the money I bet a s550 could get 2500lbs without a cage

Probably ditched the entire front K-member and rear IRS assembly and converted over to either Hot Wheels or Matchbox wire axles... can't steer worth a shit, but can go downhill in a straight line, f-a-s-t....
