I ordered my 22 S550 on Jan 31 and was curious about others experience with time from order/receiving build date/actual delivery of the vehicle

Cool, so me and sirernest should (hopefully) both get emails with build dates in the next few weeks.

How far out was the build date from the date you received the build date email and then how long did it take from the build date to actual reception of the car?

It was like... 3 weeks or so? But I ordered in November and 2022 production didn't start until January 3rd for anyone. My build week was 1/10/22, according to the email, and they completed the car on 1/11/22. I took delivery on 1/22/22 (it arrived at the dealer on 1/21/22).

It's weird that they built my Grabber Blue a couple of days before yours, even though you ordered it long before me. Congrats on the new ride! Pics?

11/15/21 - Ordered, received an email confirming order before leaving the dealership. Dealer had an original estimate of sometime end of March to early April. I think they like to under-promise and over-deliver.
12/09/21 - Received follow-up email that car was scheduled to be built week of 1/10/22. Email included my VIN.
1/05/22 - Window Sticker came online with a Blend Date of 1/13/22.
1/13/22 - Received follow-up email that the car had been built and should arrive 1/27/22-2/2/22.
1/17/22 - Received follow-up email that the car had been shipped, still had a window of 1/27-2/2.
1/20/22 - Dealer called to let me know that it had been shipped and he had more advanced tracking, showed as in the trainyard in MI for 10 days before suddenly appearing at my local trainyard on 1/30. The online tracker started working sometime during this 10 day window and had an initial estimated delivery of 2/2, which changed to 2/5 towards the end.
2/1/22 - Car came in "early". Dealer received the car and I took delivery in the same day.

I would say once you get a VIN you'll have a pretty clear idea of the timeline. Until then, it's a crapshoot because of all the schedule changes that have been happening lately. Your window sticker will appear online at the link below about a week before the car is actually built.

I ordered GT in Eruption Green. I have not gotten a build date yet from Ford as of yet. Eruption Green goes into production next week. Hoping to get a build date soon.

Same boat. I ordered a GT Premium 401A 6MT in Mischievous Purple on 12/27. I received the confirmation email when placing it but have yet to receive anything further. Hoping we both hear something soon.

Good info, please keep us updated. I ordered an Eruption Green on 10/19, still no word as well, and for once in no hurry to get it as we have 8 inches of snow on the ground and it won't see the street until April.

Build Configuration: 2022 Mustang GT Premium Fastback (6-Speed Manual, 400A), Atlas Blue, Active Valve Performance Exhaust, Spoiler Delete, Floor Liners - Front and Rear, 12 speaker B&O Sound System.

Order-to-Delivery Timeline: (about 12 weeks in length)

• Went to Dealer on 12/4/2021 and "placed" an order. Turns out Dealer sat on it -- never submitted it.
• Went back to Dealer on 12/14/2021, and got them to submit the order that was sitting in their system since 12/4/2021. Received the first email from Ford, confirming the order that same day.
• The second email arrived 1/6/2022, saying my car would be built the week of 2/7/2022. VIN assigned.
• The third email arrived 1/8/2022, saying my build week was being moved up to 1/31/2022.
• The fourth email arrived 1/21/2022, saying my build week was being moved to 2/14/2022-2/18/2022.
• Window Sticker first viewable on 2/10/2022: https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=1FA6P8CF4N5112711 (Window Sticker footer date noted as 2/10/2022).
• Blend/Build Date (indicated by Window Sticker) seen as 2/16/2022.

• On 2/17/2022, on ford.com, SYNC Updated date first seen as 2/16/2022. Click here for details.
• The fifth email arrived 2/17/2022, saying the car was built. Expected delivery to my dealer (in Oregon), is estimated to be 3/6/2022 to 3/12/2022. Window Sticker now has new footer date of 2/17/2022.
• The sixth email arrived 2/21/2022, saying the car was shipped. My best guess is the car was marked as "Shipped" in the Ford system on 2/17/2022 -- this is when the Window Sticker footer date last updated. Expected delivery to my dealer (in Oregon), is estimated to be 3/6/2022 to 3/12/2022.
• 2/28/2022: Checked with Ford Performance Chat, and they updated me that as of 3 days ago, my car is on a train just outside of Chicago. ETA delivery still 3/6/2022 to 3/12/2022 to Portland, Oregon.
• 3/7/2022: Car arrived by train into Portland Railyard.
• 3/10/2022: Car delivered to dealership by car carrier truck. I went to the dealership, test drove and purchased the car.
• 3/15/2022: Purchased extended Ford PremiumCare warranty from Granger Ford online. Click here for details.
