Well, as someone who actually has a FJG, it turns heads, exclusive or not. If you look at the total S550 population, FJG is a small number since other colors are shared by other S550 models. For e.g, Twister Orange could be ordered across the model range
I do really like the Orange Accents on the FJG.

opinion time...

kind of thinking of removing the HP aero splitter. it reminds me of a double chin and step ladder, starting to think it looks cleaner and more aggressive actually with just the standard single splitter

yay or nay?

I have mine off and will probably keep it off for a while. I like the looks without it on, more so than with it on.

After reviewing my situation further, I may not be purchasing my 22 Mach 1 after all. Even with my locked price from last year, it won't really be worth the effort. $1200 to ship it, TTL to register it. If I turn around and sell it, I'd pay a 15% capital gains tax and that's if I even have a buyer lined up which I don't. Car values are also beginning to drop on used and new cars too. After all of that, I may end up with 3-4k out of it all. Otherwise, I'd be paying on a car I have no intentions of driving or even putting a down payment on.

Here is the window sticker if anyone is interested in a loaded FJG Mach 1 HP, Tremec, Nav, Heated/Cooled seats. Granger will probably sell it at sticker.

Unless I'm oblivious to something here, it's not worth the extra stress to try and flip it.

They dont sell customer “back out” orders at MSRP. They have ADM just like the rest.

They've been selling them at sticker. The only marked up ones you see have Whipples.

Allegedly folks in the Ford Know are saying NO 2023 M1. The S550 for 23 will be limited as they ramp up for the next gen. Ford is looking to get back to a more traditional production cycle; 24 Models on the lots in Fall 23.

Heard back from @Zach@Granger and he said that they will happily do a tire swap from the Sport Cup2's and help you ship them home, but they don't buy takeoffs or install customer supplied parts/tires anymore. He also said they would gladly price match on tires they carry or can order, too.

Apparently they have a stockpile of customer tires in storage waiting for their cars to be delivered and don't have the time or room to take care of any more.
Great too know. Thanks!

Not talking about those. Any I have seen hit their site without dealer add ons dont have an “internet price” listed. MSRP is shown and usually that means their is ADM. Whatever though.

Granger has at least 1 Mach 1 on CarGurus and it’s listed below msrp. believe it’s a anti matter non-hp, can’t remember the specs

My understanding is it’s functional aero (but haven’t seen specific details. No front HP splitter with the gurney flap installed may cause weird behavior at higher speeds…for a street car shouldn’t matter, and ford sells it with the non-HP + big spoiler so it’s probably fine.

Very good points… It’s definitely a functional piece and mis-pairing the gurney without the extra front lip may make it funky and not worth the risk. won’t matter much how it looks when it’s smoldering off the road lol

If you're driving your Mach1 hard enough, that an extra couple pounds of downforce on the nose will take you out in the weeds, you are driving over your head. It would likely make it push (understeer) a little sooner, but if you are that close to the limit off adhesion on the street, I don't want to been anywhere near you.

I plan on leaving mine on mainly for looks and the fact that taking it on and off looks to be a pain in the butt. I plan on tracking it a few time a year. If it is really a nuisance as a daily driver, I'll think about taking it off. I'm pretty experienced daily driving with a low splitter, though I made black teflon rub strips for my previous low splitter.

haha you won't have to worry, I don't drive crazy/erratic. just enjoy the open straight roads and windy side roads of orchard country in PA occasionally. otherwise, it's just leisure town cruising. but good info to know about the potential effects - I'll be honest I'm not a science/car engineer type of guy

this one popped up on eBay..

there are a lot of the red available, this was the only FJG I’ve been able to locate

thehamiltoncollection also has one in FJG that looks almost identical - just don’t know about their quality vs GT spirit
Hamilton Collection is GT Spirit. I ordered one though Hamilton and received a GT Spirit car in a box.

Don't worry, if you get caught going fast enough to feel the difference, they'll be impounding your Mach and putting you in the back seat of an Exploder.
