I believe I called on Tuesday or it could have been Monday. So, it was at the beginning of the week it arrived.

I know it's different for me because I lucked out with my 21 but I had that same excitement too. You will be absolutely thrilled.

Things to have them check when it arrives:

Body panel alignment: Hood, fenders, doors, and trunk lid.

No car wash!

No front license plate drilling

Front wheel moldings (might be back ordered)

Gurney flap

Keep front splitter off if shipping and you have the handling pack.

Enjoy it when it shows up to you.

They should honor that, although I have heard more dealers adding ADM to custom orders. I would push it up the flag pole, I hope they will make it right. Its a damn shame, stuff like this happens.

Yes the sales lady DID... she went to the top and well. See below, The bottom picture is when I said No touch... so we can take it to the detail shop. Top picture is first wash at the detail shop. Just so we can see what it look like. They started the paint prep today and she will have a clear complete frontal bra. The clear coat the rest of the car.
When they are done they will PDI the car. I want to make sure the front springs spacers are removed.

Those who got their M-1, what or if anything has been done to the front lower spoiler. I was wondering of placing a aluminum plate under the lower spoiler to make it more stable and wont split or crack. Has anyone heard of something like that?

no need... just try to angle bumps/dips that are unavoidable. after a few solid scrapes, which are inevitable, you'll get used to it. while it is like nails on a chalkboard, the spoilers can take quite a beating and most of the scraping marks will be on the underside unseen. they are built well

So question for those of you who took delivery from Chapman, did you have the car detailed by someone before you picked it up or did you just drive it home and then have it done? I can't really hang down in Philly for more than a couple days to wait for it to be done there and I will potentially have a business meeting in NYC on my way back to NH.

I have roughly a 7 hour drive after I pick it up and wanted to avoid rock chips or anything if I could, but I may just have to bite the bullet and have it done up here..

Some of you may know this already, but if your car came by train, there are super small particles of iron (mainly from brake dust) in your brand new paint. Ask your detailer about Iron Out. Don’t expect the dealership quick wash to get it out. You may not see it in the paint- but you can feel it. If you want to do it yourself, you will need products like these:

I took delivery from them and drove upstate NY. they washed it and I drove it home. I plan on driving the car so I wasn't t concerned . just don t tailgate. it s a deep rabbit hole IMO trying to protect everything that CAN happen. Hit a deer up here in the northeast and all the plastic coatings in the world won t help. Chapman did do a fast delivery with me. all prepaid, sign and drive.

This is how I thought when I got my GT. I'm going to be driving the car anyway and don't want to go down that rabbit hole. I try my best to keep it washed and waxed but at the end of the day I purchased it to drive and living up north as already stated you hit a deer or other kind of animal and those coatings won't help.
