My situation is a little different though because I can get one local, at MSRP thats specced pretty much how i would order it, EXCEPT the color. Im OK with the color, but it would probably be like my 3rd or 4th choice at best
I keep going back to this option.
2 local to me that match my orders exactly, minus the HP.
The closest one had an ADM of $5k last month, now it's up to $10k (Capital Ford Hillsborough, NC)
The next closest has a $15k markup. (Crossroads Ford Lumberton, NC)

I asked Capital what they'd do to earn my business.
All they said was "these are pretty hard to come by".
OK, guess I'll keep waiting.

Update - noticed the order is shipped as of today. Email says expected delivery is 7/5-7/11, but I'm not sure how it will take an entire month to ship a car via Convoy (truck).

My dealer told me that Ford broke the contract with the drivers when they had the covid shut down and now its alot harder to get them shipped then before, i dont know if its true just what the dealer said

So…you’re saying there’s a chance for N001?
I think Ford put that on the VIN 001 that sold at Barrett Jackson last year. I cannot confirm, though. The interior pic on their site does not have a clear shot of the plate. Yes, there is a chance. A really small one. Lol

My understanding is the number plate is just put on sequentially as the car makes its way down the line…but the cars on the line are not in vin# order. So they are not directly connected prior to assembly. Maybe I have it backwards?
As far as I'm aware the VIN and chassis numbers have nothing to do with eachother at all. Mine was M5554495 and chassis# M5011

Ok Called my dealer two weeks ago regarding my production date he said Jun 15 but a ford Rep said Jun 13 when I check myself the ford website says Jun20. I’m just a little confused and a bit anxious.

FYI, the chart you posted above, well on mine it was never right and I got the car before it even showed production. Dealers are BS ing (mostly) and know not much. Ford Performance phone # was the most accurate . Shipping was an issue because of union contracts which only let them pick up for transport, and it goes on and on. Just be patient and don t put any faith in those updates. Only a guess but I d say Non HP cars will get built.

Yeah, I think I have something backwards but you explained it better, it’s 2 unrelated numbers - X number of dash stickers exist, one gets attached to the car during assembly.

They do record that somewhere because the gift package they send after purchase has the same chasis# with it (I think)

I know those parts are in the trunk and installed at the dealer. I wanted to know if he opted to have the gurney flap added or kept it off.
What are the spacer springs? This is the first I heard of them.
They are supposed to be removed by the dealer and given to the customer who purchases the vehicle if they want them or not. Basically supposed to help the front end be a little stiffer and I think get it up an extra inch or so for shipping. You do not want to leave them in if driving the vehicle.

I still remember someone posted their Mach 1 for sale with around 4000 miles on it and one of the photos they posted the shipping blocks were still in and tons of people commented on it. Definitely DO NOT want to leave those in and drive the car. Trailer purposes only, theyre little yellow blocks probably about 8 inches long or so.

Sorry, misunderstood. The spring spacers are just a solid chunk of urethane that are installed inside coils of the springs to provide additional ground clearance for transit from the plant to the dealer (on/off trains, semis, etc). I only mention it because occasionally a dealer forgets to remove them before delivery and along with the appearance of a larger wheel gap the car rides rough. Having them in the trunk is an indicator that they were removed and you have them should you choose to ship the car via transporter in the future I guess.

As far as the gurney flap, it’s only 4 screws so I don’t see any reason a dealer wouldn’t install if you ask.

Oh I'm sure they have something on file in their system that shows what VIN your vehicle got along with the chassis# too. Just not something that is public for people to see or at least at the moment.

Thanks. Still debating having the dealer add it. The whole mileage thing.

I've installed and removed mine once after I found out how much less fuel efficient it was making the vehicle since most the time I drive it I'm doing a 63mile commute to and from work. Would rather just toss it on when I get where I'm going if I wanna show it off with it on.
