good to know i'm not the only one, pretty sure it's just a website issue, then, i did hear something about the tracking site going down often
In my experience that website wont work until the last week before delivery.

I just ordered a Mach 1 fighter jet grey yesterday. Any thoughts on how long it will be before I see this wonderful car? This will be my first mustang so I’m pretty excited
Lww
In all honesty be prepared with a plan B, otherwise it's 3-4 months minimum for sure.

Well it looks like I got the same notice when I checked for the second time. Not sure what this means. Like I said, the week of May 9 date I received, I fully expect it to slip with all of the supply pressures. At least they gave me a vin number finally after getting canceled last year. Good Luck all.

First post. Two good emails yesterday, first said my build date was week of May 9 and the second was a schedule change, bumped up to week of May 2. Stoked!
Priority code 19/Ordered 1/22/22
600A
Eruption Green
HP
Recaros
Tremec

If anyone is tired of waiting in suspense, McFarland Ford in Exeter, NH has a new '21 Velocity Blue 700A, Tremec, HP, Recaros. They are asking $2500 over MSRP, but it's been sitting a while. I planned to go look at it today, then I got my build date.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m super happy for you that your car got scheduled… but the fact that I placed my order three months before you and somehow you’re ahead of me in line is complete and total BS.
AND I was a cancelled ‘21 HP order..

Ford, if you’re listening, get it together.

Did you get the delay email week before last? You have confirmed your order is in the system?

It seems that non-HP and people who might be the only retail order at a dealership have been getting preferential treatment. This last week was the first week (if I remember correctly) where HP and Late Available color cars have been scheduled. Some of the cars picked Thursday and Friday, could have been in the front of the queue from before all the Hold cars got changed to Clean status.

I am an early order HP, non-canceled '21 who hopes that the criteria shifts now that we are all Unscheduled-Clean. I would personally feel bad if I got scheduled over someone with the same basic build sheet, but had their order canceled last year. Those guys/gals have been waiting WAY too long and need to move to the front of the line, and now that the holds are lifted, older HP orders should take their deserved place in the queue over all recent orders, if the parts are available.

I have already resigned to the fact that I will be picking up my M1 in the heat of early summer, (I think Independence Day best case)and that's OK, but darn it, I'd feel a heck of lot better with a VIN and build date. Funny/sad thing is, I think most of those who ordered non-HP cars last year, have their cars already, right?

Yes, I received the email and I’ve verified my order with Ford multiple times… I’m not trying to be a complainer, as I’m a HUGE Ford fan/supporter, but it will most likely be a full year from order until I actually receive my car.

No Worries. I think we all feel your pain man. There is no doubt you should have been given a production date before me and many others. With that said hang in there I am sure you will get your production date this week and I hope it is on 5/2.

Gotcha. Yeah, I feel ya. I’m sure it’ll be this week then. Hoping you get an 02May day.

Uk order here, order commited 3rd december 21, priority 01, given an est build date of 12th feb 2022 originally, date went and gone, dealer had no info but kept saying waiting on gate release update, emailed ford to see if can get a date to be told that not built but would be built in march, still no idea if has been built or will be built in march, dealer doesnt know either, no update from ford and they keep saying that the dealer will update when they get info but they dont get any info from ford.

I think i can safely say that mine is not being built in march and potentially not even in may at this point.

The problem ultimately is that dealers are ultimately Fords customer, not the people buying the cars. As such their process is optimized to simply distribute cars fairly among dealers according to who can sell inventory. It can result in weird artifact for the end user like even lot inventory being produced before a customer car who has been waiting forever.

Dealers can't do much more than put you at the top of their list, but they still can't control what ford actually picks up. Ford can't really prioritize either as it still needs to produce inventory for all dealers. I can see why they really want to move to an order model. They'd probably be in a better position to get actual sales and production aligned better.

Has anyone in NC received their build? Just wondering if it is high volume dealers across the country first or do they go by regions.

Someone posted earlier, that priory codes really do not mean a thing or getting an order in earlier.

Im happy for everyone that has a build date, but odd that orders this year with the same components of mine have dates and I do not. My dealer has 4 locations across NC and my local branch has 20 M1 on order.

No rhyme or reason from Ford on how they schedule. It is frustrating seeing all the EB and GT getting scheduled when our cars have been on such a delay. Again happy for everyone, just venting with questions.
From what Ive heard Mach 1 is last in line for production

What makes you say that? It makes more sense that they would choose to produce the most expensive model. They do use the most ‘special’ parts however and would be parts constrained easier.

Agreed because we all know that F series is getting whacked with build issues, Maverick, Bronco. All high selling vehicles

Read an article that a Mexico plant in Hermosillo has thousands of cars waiting for chips. I think they build Mavericks and Broncos

At some point it would be nice for Ford, to come clean, and tell the customers that they cannot fulfill all the orders and we are not accepting any more. This goes for all models

I know this will never happen, but it would show the customers that they care and not give us this false hope of getting our cars.
