The mistake ford made in Australia was much smaller and less pervasive. They ended up paying a ton of money.

Brochure or pricelist or promo photos are basis for an order, illustrative images in vehicle status tracker or Fordpass really are not, they're there to make it prettier and if they use one genuine photo, so be it. There's blue Mach 1 in the owner's kit you'll receive as well. They fucked up in Australia, it's something entirely different.

Its in the build and price on the Ford site. If that isn’t a basis for an order, I don’t know what is. Its a huge fuck up if it is one.
Aside from the order site, let me give you another perspective on why it probably is true. Supply issues have been ongoing. Ford was having issues building the HP. What if the part they were running short on was the spoiler? Ford could simplify their supply chain going from two different parts to one and ensure that they are more likely to be able to build any car.
It makes sense even if it wasn’t the part in short supply. It still simplifies their supply line and the cost difference wouldn’t be large. There was a price increase for 2022 that would have been easy to hide the cost of it.
The only issue is there are 2022s shipped with the blade spoiler. It was make it odd as a mid year change, but hardly unprecedented. We won’t really know until post shutdown cars start shipping.

But you need to know that Ford doesnt run their digital marketing including building their websites . They use outside agencies and many of these people are just Copy and Paste people when creating content. Because if you look at the list, they also list the Performance Rear Spoiler /Gurney Flap. So this is what I mean about the people that create the content

They finally made new B&P and with such mistakes? It really looks like 2021 all over again, lol.
I'd be really surprised if it was the case considering there's been 2022 Mach 1's already produced and delivered to people. See here.

Thanks for letting me know, my order is Priority 01 and I have not received a date. I will follow up on that.
I am having a similar issue. Had my 21 canceled with the new order placed 10/29 and received confirmation of the order on 11/1. Still no build date. I checked with my salesperson And get told it is “the highest priority level.” Seeing HP cars with Priority Code 19 have build dates is making me wonder what is going on and how Ford does their scheduling. Any other way to get answers?
Be cautious about getting excited about the 01 priority code… I ordered an HP in March 2021 and after plant shutdowns and several rescheduled build dates, got the dealer and regional Ford rep to change my priority to 01 in May. After that… I got another 8-10 reschedules and didnt get the car till October. As others have said, parts availability trumps priority code.

Build site seems to have been updated. When I built a HP, the HP package lists the appropriate spoiler. But god damn, the HP package is now 4500.00 and they raised the base price 500.

Weirdly all the pictures of base Mach 1 have the HP spoiler without Guerney flap. But in the Exterior options as "included Performance Rear Spoiler" it shows the lip spoiler.

It would be weird to make this change for new model year, but I guess most people would welcome it. Especially when they shipped 2022 Mach 1's with lip spoiler already. Guess we'll wait and see.

Anyone have any insight? The vehicle is on "Plant Hold" at the train depot in AZ. Below is status from the dealer.

could be just a worker shortage? Transportation industry all around has been hit hard with lost workers.

At this point I reckon we aren’t gonna see any HP cars built this month huh?

I’m betting we might have a couple, but I suspect we’ll start getting VIN’s and build dates next week.
