Seems like they could have done a little more than just paint for what is probably the last V8 only gt500 but I do like the colors.

What with emissions regulations, no way Ford was going to spend monies trying to eek out more power or spend anything more than they had to. That said, I want one of these!

And here's a photo you might not see elsewhere. This hood was on a stand at the private media event. The "GT500" shown on the hood stripe won't be on production models.

I love it. Those are the side stripes that should have been on the car from the start. The color is pretty awesome too.

Still not sure if the dash plaque will be different on the GT500 Heritage, ala the GT350 HEP. The Ford supplied media shot of the interior isn't clear but may not be representative. I hope they do something along those lines on the interior too.

Man that looks similar to iconic. Is the blue more noticeable in person?

Serious? Its a new paint color, that's about it. Pass. Sure let's slap a new coat of paint on it and call it a heritage edition. Next thing you know we will have a bunch of GT500 snobs hanging around here (ala the HEP snobs like over in the 350 section).

I like the new color but not enough to trade in my Rapid Red. Still waiting to see Oil Slick.

but you get to pay 10 grand for 'hand painted' black stripes they don't bother to clear coat (or so I've heard).

I dig it. It immediately reminded me of the '67 GT500 Brittany Blue.

I knew there would be some kind of feature car, there had to be. This is it for the GT500. Sure, I would have loved to go out with a bang with some mega crazy, mondo power model. Problem is that ship has sailed and now it'll be hybrid combinations that make the most power until everything goes full electric. Gonna be pretty mundane at the beginning with the S650 until the floodgates open. Knowing that makes the Brittany Heritage throwback kinda cool. I can't wait to photograph one.
