2021 Mach 1 Tuning

I called Ford Performance last week, inquiring on a Mach 1 tune similar to the power pack tune currently offered.
He said they have one in the works to clean the shift points on the A10 as well as some power gains.
February 22, was his best guess, that would use the Ford tuner for warranty purposes. Time will tell.

He guessed 2/22/22? That would be a cool release date, if the world doesn't end right then.

Don't you have a higher octane there? That should help too. I think that the US stock is tuned for 91 which is the most common higher octane available.

Yes, I can get RON 98 (like your 93) anywhere but I'm only getting 100 octane as I get it nearby. Really curious to see the dyno with it.

So for the Mach1, simply Long tubes + E85 tune = ~500rwhp?

Will it be the same for the 2022's which are down 10hp? (Not that it's a big difference)

So I emailed Lund inquiring about the 93 octane Tune for the Mach 1
How much power, and how does it specifically improve the 10-speed.
Got a pretty quick response from the owner, Jon Lund.
Basically he said that the Mach 1 is tuned pretty stout from the factory and that you won’t notice much power, 7-8hp.
E85- 18-20hp.
you get 3 tunes for the big $800 price tag.
He said the shifting will be noticeably crisper.
I’m having a hard time spending $800 for that.
It’s funny, when you call the guys at lethal or beefcake, they will straight up lie to you and say 30-40hp.
Still waiting for Steeda tune to be released as that’s what I had in my 15. They seemed pretty honest said about 10hp on the video.
Wonder how they improve 10speed shifting.
There’s also the chance of a Ford Performance Tune as we’ve had conflicting reports when we call. Guess I’ll wait till spring to decided.

The Mach 1 is already Ford Performance tuned. GT350 manifold, TB, and intake. You aren't going to see much on a 93 octane tune. Shifting can be improved on the 10 speed but it's mostly a waste otherwise.

E85 is where it's at with tuning. Raise that redline to 8200 hard redline (prevents limiter bouncing saving your OPGs), 7800 soft redline. Some long tube headers is all you need for enough power to get you in trouble all over. The manual setup with the ESS centrifugal will be a monster too. I'd go Whipple on the auto.

Does anyone know if PBD's uCal tuner works on our cars? I've only seen the RTD so far and encrypting the ECU is something to think about as well.

The car is tuned for both from the factory. It has distinctive and very different timing tables based on fuel octane and how much knock is detected, so there's very little that a "true" 93 tune will get ya.

OEM tuning (especially for the performance variants like the Mach) have been very good in recent years.

So I just heard that there will be no flex fuel tune from Lund for the Mach 1's. That's a bummer. I was really wanting to put some E85 into the car and without that transition tune it's a lot more difficult to swap fuels.

Any other of the major tuners doing flex? PBD? AED?
