Well, there is a 5-6 month wait according to Beefcake. I put the stage 1 on my Bullitt and it ran excellent. However, the PD blowers make a lot of torque down low and really inhibit your ability to really nail it in 1st or second unless you want to go the drag radial route, which I did not. With slicks I ended up with clutch slip.
No, I am really looking at the ESS centri blower. There is a whole thread on it. PBD says no problem tuning it. Cheap, well made blower. Makes pretty good lower end torque, but on my '18 the centri was excellent. Procharger still hasn't gotten theirs tested for the M1, but soon.
Seriously thinking about 4.09's and a flex tune, for the above reason... this is not the first post mentioning a blower making more power than the chassis could reliably put down. 4.09's were great in my 2018, and with the Tremec gear ratios it will put even more power down than the MT82 did.

On your '18 did you have the PP? 373s? If so, how much difference did the 4.09s make?

I did have the 3.73's and the difference was noticeable. I test drove a new PP2 last summer and immediately noticed how much quicker my car was, especially 3rd gear. 1st was a little too steep but still usable but the other gears were great. Here's a chart that I put together showing how much force in pounds is applied to the road for the two cars with the two gear sets:

What you say makes complete sense. Who did the gears? Did you remove the diff yourself? How about tuning? Thanks. Good information!

In my experience, it's important to find someone WITH experience installing ring and pinions, since a proper contact pattern is essential to smooth, quiet operation. I know a guy with that type of talent, he did my 2018. I removed the diff myself and gave him the gears, installation kit and diff. They ran perfectly. I have a bunch of tips in another thread on doing the removal, I think it took me about 6 hours to remove it and another 6 to reinstall. I got quotes from a couple Ford dealers that were pretty high because of all the labor involved.

No tune was needed for my 2018, but people with 2019+ cars have reported needing a tune because of the auto rev matching causing all kinds of warning lights. One thread by a guy who installed 4.88's in his Bullitt said Steeda was able to tune the car to match his new gears. The Ford Performance website mentions that tuning is required. Going to talk to FP first and make sure they can give me a tune to account for the gear change. Then then plan would be do the gear change and try using Forscan to adjust for the gears (I don't believe this works but will try it). Then compare the FP axle-ratio-correct-only tune to other tunes before picking which way to go.

I removed the differential on my 2016 for this reason, I knew I wouldn't like the axle ratio in the M1 and wanted to try removing. Not hard at all. My neighbor owns a ring and pinion shop and will do the gear swap for $150 if I bring the diff. If rather a steeper gear yet, but 409 would be ok. That and an e85 tune night get the car with a stick into the low 12s possibly. I know Bama head issues a while back but they did the 16 for me including the great change and the car ran very very good on 93. My experience with Lund was just OK on a flex tune for my 18. Pbd did the procharger tune and it was great. Still might do the centri...

Posted in wrong topic, here it goes. Blue 😍

Late to the party. Did not consider a Mach 1 until recently, when I decided to have my first Mustang V8. Looks this guy nailed me; someone who is receiving Medicare :like: Old man spec. I think this is the most honest review about the 10 speed auto. Everyone else seems to have strong thigh muscles who are not afraid to pump the crutch in stop and go traffic, or are tall enough who do not need a crutch extender. Anyway, see you guys at the next Car & Coffee:crackup:

A couple of French guys comparing the Mach 1 to a BMW M4. Put on auto translate and it's pretty amusing what it comes up with, but you do get the general idea!
In the end they both say they'd have the Mach 1 because it is charming and the M4 is too sanitized.
