Let's hope! Hopefully the 295/305 reference in the Ford guide was a leftover from the GT350.
May have been just a mistake.
However it wouldn’t be the first thing they have changed on the base car.
If the base car has 305s in the rear I will get the handling package to get 315s.
I think all GT500 cars will have 315s in the rear though.

Ford, please release 1/4 mile and 0-60 times.

Are you suggesting that all GT500 cars regardless of options selected or lack thereof that all cars (2 and 4 seat optioned cars) will receive the 305 and 315 tires sizes?

:sunglasses:
Not suggesting. That is the case. Base and handling get 11" wheels square. Track Pack gets 11.5" rears.

Base and Handling package have Pilot Sport, Track pack have Pilot Cup.

All are 305/315.
This is 100% confirmed? You work with Ford, correct?

Understood and appreciate the clarification.

With that being the case are you suggesting that Ford will install 315 mm tires on 11" rear wheels?

Based on my experience and understanding the widest tire that should be put on an 11" rim is 305 mm and personally I have a hard time seeing Ford installing a 315 mm tire on an 11" rim.

If anything the Handling and Performance Package optioned cars should come with 11 1/2" rear wheels if in fact they come with 315 mm tires.

Something not making sense here??

:)

If you work for Ford and have confirmed that Ford is in fact installing 315 mm tires on 11" rear rims on the 4 seat GT500 cars I will certainly defer to your post and stand corrected.

Does that surprise me a great deal, absolutely but after many decades of purchasing Mustangs I guess that I should not be surprised at anything.

Thanks!!

According to the Michelin size guide, the optimum rim width for a 315/30x20 tire is 11”:
https://www.michelinman.com/upload/michelin_us/specifications/specs-pilot-sport-4s.pdf
Line #60304 on the last page.
Thanks for the attached information and nice to see that the overall height for these tires is only 27 1/2" which certainly won't hurt any of us when it comes to a little help with acceleration.

I have used a tire/wheel guide in the past that is not Michelin specific therefore these posted numbers are to their specs and obviously more accurate and if I read the information correctly Michelin is showing that even a 10 1/2" wheel will work for this size of tire as well.

Would be nice if the wheels are truly a square setup: i.e. not only the same width but same offset. There is a place in the guide that mentions a unique front spindle/bearing assembly. Maybe they were able to get the offsets the same.

I expect people to post more today they release on Friday most of the time so seems like always a week apart we might see some November dates this week if not at least 10/28.

Got my Base VIN and build week of 10/28 yesterday from my dealer. I'll receive it just in time to put her to bed for the long winter but at least it will be in my garage! Guess there is always some hope that it could be moved up.
