Base and Handling package have Pilot Sport, Track pack have Pilot Cup.

All are 305/315.
So just to be clear if you ordered the Handling Package for a Base GT500 will everyone receive 305/315 tires on their aluminum wheels but what are the wheel sizes?

It is my understanding that all Base GT500's are coming equipped with 20" X 11" wheels on all four corners therefore are you suggesting that with the optional Handling Package for a Base GT500 will they now come with 20" X 11" aluminum wheels on the front and 20" X 11 1/2" aluminum wheels on the back and that they will not be shed with Cup 2 tires?

This is from the eSourceBook, take it for what it's worth, this source also stated that the Standard wheels and tires for the GT500 were "20" flow-formed High-Gloss Black aluminum wheels with 295/30ZR20 front and 305/30ZR20 rear tires.

Something is off still, I just looked at my order confirmation email from the dealer back when order was placed, and it shows the tire size right in their just under the dct option... 305-315/30R20s

The only additional thing the Handling Package "May" have is the adjustable front strut mount.

Here are pictures of the front and rear tires on a non-CFTP (Base) GT500. They are Michelin PS4s.

So when someone orders the Performance and Handling Package for $1500 are they getting Front Splitter Wickers, Rear Wing Gurney Flap, increased tire sizes on all 4 corners and an increase in rear wheel size in order to accommodate the 315/20 rear tires?

If so that is an outstanding deal IMO let alone if you are suggesting that the adjustable front strut mounts are also included.

For some reason something doesn't seem right here.

Please confirm exactly what you understand the "Performance and Handling Package" is to include as that will be helpful for all of us?

:please:

Front Splitter Wickers, Rear Wing Gurney Flap and maybe adjustable front strut mounts. Nothing else is included. The way it stands now, all the base models will have the same wheels and tires. 20" flow-formed High-Gloss Black 20x11 aluminum wheels with 305/30ZR20 front and 315/30ZR20 Michelin PS4s rear tires.
I question the wheels, 20x11 & 20x11.5 seems like a better fit for the tires.

Appreciate your feedback regarding the above.

Having said that I have a hard time understanding Ford shipping out GT500's with 315/30 rear tires on only 11" wide rims but that well be the case.

If Ford does provide all of the above including increased tire sizes front and rear along with the adjustable front strut mounts that will be an outstanding deal!

I hope you are right that base models will have the same tires. I did not order the handling package because it seemed like a waste of money to me for what little is included--I have no need for the adjustable front strut mounts.

With that said, I was also under the impression that the 305 fronts and 315 rears were included on all cars. The guide stating 295/305 for the base car was a huge disappointment. If the HP or CFTP are the only way to get the 305/315's, it would have been nice to know that before ordering.

The pictures of the tires that I posted above are on a base GT500 without handling package.

Have 295/305's been spotted on any cars? I thought I recall someone posting a picture that showed those sizes. It might have been the Ford picture showing the two wheel designs, sides by side?

Are you suggesting that all GT500 cars regardless of options selected or lack thereof that all cars (2 and 4 seat optioned cars) will receive the 305 and 315 tires sizes?

Yes, the old picture from Ford showed a carbon fiber wheel with a 315 and a base wheel with a 305.
Maybe the base one was a front wheel.

Let's hope! Hopefully the 295/305 reference in the Ford guide was a leftover from the GT350.
