George, thanks for sharing this but I think the GT500 vin is “...5L5500..” not ...4L...
At least for my vehicle it is
Ok, just put your VIN in and it will be all good. I edited the 4 to a 5 . thank you.
I believe this can be any appropriate validation number that fits within the required formula established by the U.S. Department of Transportation. This is the check digit, found in position 9 of the VIN and compulsory for vehicles in North America. It is used to validate a VIN. This allows computers to immediately tell if there is an error or issue with the VIN.

The check digit is calculated by removing all of the letters and substituting them with their appropriate number counterparts. You then take those numbers and multiply them against a weight factor table. You then have 16 numbers which you add together and then divide by 11. The remainder is the check digit. If the remainder is 10, then the check digit is “X”.

Mine is "2L". It will change according to your final 6 digit VIN sequence number.

Ron,
This is great information to learn and of course I already had to put my serial number in and validate my “ check digit”. I am glad it worked with the auto calculator as it looks like it might take a little effort to work it out.

Thank you very much for the explanation and tutorial.

This is great Sparko.

But you do understand that this is just a "Preview Order" which has not necessarily been entered into the order back and is definitely not an agreed upon invoice. Every opportunity to cancel the order or renegotiate the deal is totally in place. This document is just about the options that you want.

I certainly hope that you get MSRP from this deal and they do not sell out to another dealership for $10,000-$30,000.
Thank you Rapid. I have purchased several cars from this dealer and I live fairly close to them...they would not be wise to renege..as word travels quickly around here. I also gave them 10 grand deposit...in the legal world that’s called consideration. They would lose. That said 3 years ago the owner of the dealership told me he would sell me his first GT 500 at list..he kept his word. I have faith in people ... naively perhaps but we will see.

Estimated confirmed builds by week?

I saw on the other forum:
Wk of 9/23 , 85 builds
Wk of 10/14, 845 ish builds

Do we have an idea how many wk of 10/7 and 10/21? I would guess that ford has scheduled build dates for 35% of the magic 5k number.

Am I reading your post correctly??? You are saying there will be 845 builds the week of Oct. 14th???? Assuming the "Union" works 5 days a week that works out to "169 cars per day". NO WAY.

And somehow I keep being reassured that my build will occur in this build cycle. IT BETTER NOT WIND UP SITTING ON A LOT ALL WINTER.

We will see.

I by no means am an expert of Fords production , capacity or through put. I was posing the question to confirm information from SVT. See below:

It looks like the earliest production VIN I have seen was 145 and the latest is 761, assuming that there isn't number higher than 0 before the last three. I wonder how many GT500's are going to be built each week.
It will be interesting to see how this all works out.

145 scheduled for the week of 9/23/2019
756 scheduled for the week of 10/14/2019
761 scheduled for the week of 10/21/2019

Wonder why there's no info on builds occurring the week of 10/07. That's when mine is scheduled.

Probably because you are the only one that has posted that week. The only way we have of knowing anything about scheduled dates are posts from buyers like you and other buyers that have reported the information we need. Thank you for posting your information.

I could see maybe 845 total by end of 10/14 but more likely they will try to do 170 a week after 1st week that will get them done in 30 weeks for the MY20. In 2018 FRAP could produce between 480 and 600 cars a day but that’s all cars so between the Lincoln and non Shelby Mustang it would be hard to believe they will do 169 Shelby’s a day. Now if the Lincoln is not selling well which I don’t believe it is then that could help them push more mustangs and Shelby’s out. Still more then 200 a week is hard to believe because they still have to do the GT350 as well.

For what it’s worth my VIN is 775 and scheduled for 10/14. I’ve seen lower VINs than mine scheduled for the week after.

Remember VINs and production numbers do not align anymore the chassis number is the number that Your car was built in order. You will know what number You was because your dash plaque will have the CSM and that will equate to chassis number or that’s my understanding.

Yea, im less concerned about VIN, morr interested on the # on the plaque on the dash.

But of course my number 1 constant curiosity is when i will finally get the build date and the final pick up day.

But 200 a week makes sense, probably 2k will be made on the side of 2020 and rest will be in early 2020.

I’m scheduled for week of 10/14 my guess is my plaque will be in the 500s I’m honestly hoping for 500 on the nose that would be awesome but don’t think I could be that lucky
