Hey guys, just took delivery of my wife’s new GT350 HEP Car... I noticed my 2020 GT350R has the NAV Antenna Bubble, and her car has the “Shark Fin” on it...

Has anyone been able to figure out the rhyme or reason as to what the difference is?

Both cars have the same “Tech Package”

Bubble looks better. Wish they could hide these stupid things inside the car somewhere. Like the rear window on the shelf behind the back seat

Totally agree with your comments and should have somehow had all of these great cars coming with a clean roof line!

Yeah, until the GPS antenna gets blocked by the body of the car, and people start screaming that they have garbage GPS reception.

my 15’GT/PP was a base model with no gps or sync and no roof antenna as I really liked that clean look, as I was a little disappointed with the GT350 as I had no choice

Well I had installed a double din in my 07 GT and it came with an antenna that had a magnet, mounted inside the A pillar tucked behind the interior molding on the passenger side. Never had a problem.

You didn't, but someone will. OEMs don't really have the ability to take chances like that.

Had 3 trucks/cars where I installed the GPS antenna inside the dash. Never had a problem. Had 3 Corvette convertibles. Don't know where they put the antennas in those, but never had a problem either.

I believe the newer corvettes had them installed in the side mirrors.

Seems like the "bubble" is less intrusive... the Fin reminds me of something pulled from the Camaro assembly line... as I don't feel it fits the S550 body lines.
I thought the same thing with the Challenger when Dodge changed from the small bubble to the Fin...as it just looks so out of place..I really never thought Ford would follow suit on the sleek body lines of the S550.
