I am rather bored with waiting for my 2019 GT350 car (ordered five months ago).

I read in these forums that a 2020 GT350 will start production one week after the last 2019 GT350 (it happens in August). I think it is always good to get the newer model for improvements and increased future market value.

I find the newer one to be a better value, and it's not like I need to get a car quickly.

I am having similar thoughts. My car is sitting down in the rail yard in Phoenix for weeks and it is just infuriating that Ford has treated it's most loyal customer base this way. On the other hand I don't think there will be any big changes to the 2020MY besides the use of the GT500 block. And then we would have to start the waiting game all over again and be dicked around by Ford for another 6 months again. Also my first choice of color is Ruby Red and this is the last year for RR. The new red looks very similar and could even be better. I would not know until parking them side by side.

Right now I am leaning towards Ford taking their car and shoving it. Like you I do not NEED this car.

If I become a casualty of Delay-Gate (just made that up as I was typing), at least I will be able to pick a color again. I may stay with Performance Blue unless some of the other new colors look better in person.
Time will tell..............

But, is that an improvement? For a standard application
Changes: We increased strength in the block and heads. We went to longer head bolts and deeper columns. We also added a fourth active layer to the head gasket and additional casting structure in the head. In the interest of commonality and efficiency, we’re rolling those changes into Voodoo

For standard application and my use, no. But if you have any thoughts of boost then absolutely.

Ford is a truck company. The F-series sells 900,000 trucks per year (plus 500,000 SUV's). We are talking about 1000 leftover 2019 Mustang GT350 cars. I doubt they care if we buy a 2019 or a 2010 GT350.

I like Delay-Gate as a guy that has been delayed in getting a new 2019 GT350 in any proper time period.

I hope this ends in an engine built to the Ford standards. No previous Ford car or truck that I have ever owned has had any issues.

Doc:
Since we are practically neighboors, heres the deal:
If we both get our '19's, the person who gets theirs first buys the other lunch!
I'll be happy to lose this bet, but even happier if we BOTH get our 2019's....!!!
Deal?
