I am going with set of Michelin Sport 4S in a 295/35-19 all around. According to Discount tire selector this will fit no problem. I am interested in Forum members opinion on sizing, experiences and opinions.

I am already set on brand and model. A track day a couple times per year. I don't want to lower the car due to Houstons crappy streets. But I do want a fuller fenderwell and stance. Spacers are out.

Should I go to a 305 on the rears even though wheels are only 9.5 wide, or go square with the 295s? I think 305 all around might be an issue with 9 inch wheels on the front?

All opinions welcome. I need to pull the trigger on these in the next day or so.

Are you talking about putting these on stock wheels? You'd never want 295s on the back 9.5 inch wheels, let alone the front. This discount tire selector is obviously junk. 275 MAX on a 9 inch wheel (fronts), and 285 max on the back 9.5s, but still too big for both imo. I'd stick with the stock sizes on stock wheels.

I'd get dedicated track wheel/tires if you're going to do "A couple a year", vs killing the PS4's after one maybe two times.

So true. I had to think back on that comment. Back in the 80s I had my stock 79 930 Porsche out at Texas World Speedway for a Porsche Club track day. Burned a set of P7s in about 40 laps. Any real track time will eat the tires.šŸ˜³

I am really just looking to upsize my tires a bit without going too far. Maybe 285s on the rear and 275 on the front? Even 295s are within Tire makers width requirements on the rear on 9.5 to 12 inch rims and their overall diameter to stock is the same.

Neither. 285 is the max on a 9.5ā€ wheel. 295 needs at least a 10ā€ and 305 needs at a 10.5. Of course, feel free to do what you want.
Ya 305 is way off. Michelin suggests 9.5 to 12 inch rims on 295s. So they are doable.

If you going to stick with mp4s's 285s are a bad choice. The dont come in a 40 only a 35 so you'd loss sidewall. Up front I wouldn't go over a 265.

Pretty sure the *easiest* track setup is a 285/35/19 SuperCar3 on an Apex 19x10 square setup (no spacers). Rotatable, great grip, waaaay better than stock. I burned up the PS4S in 2 track days before the SC3 setup.
Steeda dual-rate springs doesnā€™t lower the car much *at all* Iā€™m actually disappointed in the drop, but they handle phenomenal! Just like stock, until you click it into track mode and hit some corners.
This is what it looks like.
Not exactly my cup of tea, but it works great for the track.

I would recommend against that regardless of the size wheel you go with. Those are Merc OEM tires and the tread width is smaller than the 275 PS4S that come with the PP1 cars. Either go 285 or pick a different tire.

What about 19 x 11 wheels by sve from lmr.com. I want to mount 285 35 19 Michelins 4s?
As others already said a 10" wheel would be better for 285s. What are you trying to accomplish with the new tires? Just the wider look? Is traction important to you? Personally I wouldn't change tire size at all unless I can do so while keeping the sidewall the same or taller than stock.
