I just cracked my OEM 2018 coupe windshield and would like to go OEM with the Ford Logo and sound screen feature. Any advice as to who did the work and approximate cost. Ford dealer, Safelite, or local guys seem to be the install options but getting the OEM glass is the mission. Also concerned with not getting damage to the paint on the A pillars and roof area since these is no trim.

Safelite did mine ('18 convertible) about 4 years ago or so. I didn't push for OEM glass. I'm cheap and didn't want to pay extra. Safelite will use OEM glass I believe but my insurance wanted a premium that I was unwilling to pay. FWIW, the aftermarket glass has actually seemed to resist pitting better than the original glass. Safelite advertises they will come to you but I opted to take it in. The swap took around an hour. There was zero damage to anything. I don't have any of the fancy options that require calibration so I can't speak to that.
If you have a carpool/express/ toll transponder, you may need to scrape it off in order to get a replacement. Check with your toll authority before you take it in.

Also had Safelight replace mine after it cracked from a rock chip. Had to pay a deductible, they came to my house and replaced it right out front. No damage or issues, been about 2 years now.

Most dealers don't replace glass - they call someone (usually local) to do it and outsource it. Safelite generally does decent job of it and usually has OEM glass available.

Just went to Safelite and they have OEM Ford glass in stock with the Ford logo, correct tint, and acoustic sound deadening. Not cheap at $646 but I want original quality and look. Goes in tomorrow.
