Hello all, trying to get some feedback on upgrading my 2017 intake to a 2018 intake, currently i have a JLT CAI, Borla S-Type Exhaust and Kooks long tube headers, The tune is a SCT 91/93 stock tune, i have done some research and found that it would give approx 15-30 wheel HP however i have been told that it could be tricky to tune by the guys that installed everything and they couldn't give me a great answer so i'd love to hear any success stories.

First of all you're not going to gain anywhere near the high end of that range. You might get 12-15 at the very top of the range. Those quotes you are seeing are usually the tune + the intake combined, but you already have a tune.

It shouldn't be tricky to tune by a competent shop, especially if they don't have to deal with the IMRCs which you should be locking out. You can probably even run the current tune and it will be ok.

Install is pretty easy. There are several tutorials online

Bang for the buck is pretty good on this platform if staying NA. CJ intake will make more power but it'd all up top at 7k+ rpm.

Tune should be straightforward for any decent tuner

You will probably see ~15hp if I had to guess.

You will not see any gains over your JLT. If the JLT is an open design you will see lower IAT's with the 18.

Go with the GT350 manifold. There is a reason Ford puts it on all the flagship cars.

2015-17 S550 5.0 w/GT350 manifold x 80mm TB or 87mm TB, IMRC remain 100% functional FTW !
Push the rev limit to 8k FTW+ !
You will not regret this combination.

It's plug and play if you use a throttle body adapter and your stock throttle body. It revs higher than the 18 GT manifold.
