replace the gasket with the rtv, I’m sure the ultra is fine
Thank you sir. Did this "fix" resolve the issue for you?

Yes and Sort of, the real fix is the tuning company adjusting the amount of time the throttle blade can hang before it sets this failure code.

interesting... did you ultimately have PBD adjust the tune? if so, does that pose any potential issue?

Try the RTV. Rob made a couple of adjustments for me, but I continued to have problems until I did the RTV. Haven’t had a problem since

The tuning software may not have the tables they need - hptuners or sct

whipple says future calibrations will have it but Whipple uses oem ford software

Lat night I went through with the disassembly process and visually inspected the throttle body and how it sits against the SC and it's relationship to the existing gasket.... then I start to think... conceptually, how does using the RTV vs the supplied gasket affect the throttle body sensory to create the error code? Does anyone have an intelligent response to what the theory is behind the swap? Just asking before I complete the task. I went ahead and tried to and successfully replicated the error code in normal mode allowing the transmission to perform shifting but if I place the shifter in "S" and perform the shifting myself, it will not reproduce the error. Just not understanding the mechanical concept of how the gasket is the cause and which is what prompts the question. Thanks all.

Distorting the body, causing the throttle blade or shaft to bind in the bore of the body.

What I was told

Don’t question the logic, just do it! I couldn’t understand how it was going to help either, but sure as Hell, it fixed it for me and quite a few others that I know of

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised, even if you’re left scratching your head, like me!

Same issue just occurred for me. Reading up on this thread and just sent some logs/questions to Lund. Just got my RXT installed for my T56 and this code pops whenever I do a WOT 2->3. We'll see what they say to me in the morning. Thanks for the advice in this thread.

go ahead and pull the throttle body and use hi temp rtv instead of the gasket, torque it very evenly.

Gonna do it tonight and see what happens. This time I'll make sure to log it.

Happened two times already and its always on the 2->3 shift. I was just wondering why it would happen after a clutch change, coincidence or maybe the fact the RXT can actually grab the power instead of slipping lol.
