It has to do with the throttle blade binding in the bore

Yup, common issue. Annoyed the crap out of me for a week. I checked the throttle blade during install and saw there was plenty of room, so what people were telling me didn't make sense. Finally I just did what I was being told and removed the gasket. Haven't looked back since. My guess is the gasket is too think and or soft. It flexes enough under TQ to distort the TB opening causing the blade to catch.

Sorry? What’s RTV?
I’ve gotten the wrench light / check engine light day 1 after buying it. Thankfully I found this forum, but it’s in the back of my mind constantly.

My car was making a rare noise coming from the throttle body blade feeling like a metal hitting, after go to palm beach dyno they tell me about remove the gasket and apply RTV that was 8/6/2020 and 2 days later when I do few pulls the car shows the code P2119 and make idle unstable , then I check online and see these site and see many people talking about it. After remove the Whipple throttle body gasket and replaced it for RTV the code is gone and the car feels great again and stopped of make the rare sound coming from the throttle body blade. Thanks you guys really I was scared when it happened.

After do it my car shows a code 1 more time so I try to understand it and probably not is the gasket problem, I think it comes because the Whipple throttle body blade is too big and have to move more fast to go at the right position and sometimes it can't do it, when my car shows this code 2 times was for the same thing I was on 1 gear first time and on 2nd gear last time in both I hit the gas pedal harder to full way down the car spinning the tires so bad and I have to release it rapidly and hit it full again so the blade have to move so fast fro the full open throttle to full close to full open again and was the same thing both times, I put drag tires and now I do pulls on streets starting on 3rd gear and it never happens again, so not due a very fast transition multiple times continuously and you no go to see it again. When this code shows bro the car feels so bad (like blow the engine) , only clean the code and you car is 100% ready again.
