I am thinking gloss would look great on it, but I like a lot of black with a red car. To me that is what makes a red car look different than every other normal red car out there. I wouldn't do matte, especially right next to the gloss stripes. Keep in mind the vent grill's are matte no matter which you get.

RTR still the nicest in my opinion.

What a wonderful thread to distract me from repair woes haha.

For Mr. Red with Stripes, I'd say keep your current vents as you have enough black breaking it all up. I would suggest maybe getting a more agressive chin spoiler to complete the look though. I personally like RTR's after seeing it put on one the project car of Justin from AmericanMuscle. Although I've heard from others on the forums that they also like MMD's.

I’ve been trying to find a chin spoiler for awhile now. Unfortunately not many options for a non PP GT. All the ones I like require PP.

Just get the PP belly pan and you should be fine.

That will work for replacement splitters. But it won’t work for the ones designed like the pp2 style where it’s an add on.

Pretty sure the real PP2 splitter only requires the PP1 splitter and the belly pan.

Correct, but I have a non pp chin which is shorter than the pp1 so it exposes drill holes that are covered by the pp1. I looked into the cost to order and ship a pp1 and belly pan and it’s just too much for what it is.

I’m saying you’ll need to replace that too to have a perfect setup. Might be worth it to have what you want.

Yeah it’s just so expensive to go from non pp to pp2 splitter. Priced out it’s over $400 to go to a pp1 then throw another 500 for the pp2 splitter. Pretty brutal pricing for a splitter . If only I had got a pp1 from the start lol.

Maybe just get a new chin spoiler from RTR or MMD and the belly pan cover. Will cost less because you’re editing one of the splitters. I’ll be honest I think both those are nicer looking than the PP2 splitter. Just an option though. Might as well looks like you have the RTR grille already.

I got the PP belly pan through local dealer for $130, PP1 splitter new is i think around $170 but i found used one for 80. The PP2 oem splitter is pricey around $400 but you can get the ikon motorsports one for $110 or even the ZL1 addons for like $250

Turning it back to hood scoops for a sec - I ordered a set of gloss black scoops back in June (the 2nd) and they FINALLY shipped (2 months later)!!

Hopefully they show up in good shape and I don’t have to deal with any unforeseen issues. I’ll post up some pics when I get them Installed. Haven’t seen any pics of them on a white car yet but I’m optimistic they will look great.

I ordered mine on June 19 th. Still waiting. When I talked to the dealer I ordered from he was supposed to get them this week and start shipping next week. Hopefully I'll see then soon.
