Likely 3600/yr, which is right in line with boss 302 production, and a number that has been mentioned recently. They are already past 2000 cars for 2016 as it is, so 3600 total not likely.

5000 was a rumor started by the notorious mustang manny

"One of the benefits of your long wait is that several production concerns have been addressed."

I certainly hope that in some way this is a reference to quality control. I'm also surprised at the 3,600 number for 2 years, which is less than half of what Ford has been saying for a year. I don't think any of us will know the whole story until production ends.

Can anyone confirm if the 3600 number is a minimum or a maximum so the car can qualify for stock class racing? OP note implies it is a maximum so a limited run. But if a minimum which logically seems more likely then I'm not so sure it will be limited to that number and vehicles produced so far this year seems to bear that out. Finally, I don't recall the 5000 per year number coming from Mustang Manny but from Ford's original announcement but I could be mistaken.

5000/500 was leaked my mustang manny, and pulled shortly after that, but not before horsepowerfreaks clickbaited the shit out of it.

Sweet baby Jesus, they better make grabber blue available on the GT350 since they've announced it'll be in the lineup for 2017....

Considering the Boss program ran for 2 years and the GT350 has vastly more specialized parts, it was silly to ever believe that they'd only produce the GT350 for less than one calendar year.
I agree - most people on here believed we would see 2015, 2016 and 2017.

I must chuckle. First of all never heard before there wouldn't be a MY 2017 so surprised that it's just being announced. Second, puts the "they'll build all they can sell" guys in a tizzy. Third, only time I've seen any mention of a 3600 total build number. Previously was always 5000 non-Rs per year. So from 10,000 down to 3600 total? Does any one really know what is going on?:frusty:
Regarding "they'll build all they can sell", I can see reasons to have believed both sides of that issue. I think new CAFE standards are coming in 2018, so that might have an impact. I would love to see Ford continue building the GT350 along with any other specialized cars, even if they have to go to a twin turbo six or some other power plant.

Same here - my first time seeing the 3600 number. People on the forums have been throwing around all kinds of numbers, but we've never seen anything official from Ford, just vague generalities.

My GT looks like it will be sold tomorrow. Kinda glad things worked out like they did, especially if grabber blue will be on the 17 GT350!

They're offering platinum white for 2017 too. I hope that makes it to the GT350. That would put a little modern twist on the classic white/blue stripes combo.

I was absolutely not much of a fan of GRABBER BLUE. This is a truely great color for this car.

I suppose a lighter blue may make its way into the line up and I would best guess it will be akin to Nitrous Blue (Focus RS), Liquid Blue or Grabber Blue...

I would also like to think that Magnetic may drop in favor of Ingot Silver...

That looks pretty good. I think I'd have to have a black roof or OTT stripes to break up all that blue though.
