Late feb to March, seems some R orders being scheduled then. But yeah I'll take your allocation of you can't wait a few more months
Thank you for the offer. Just a little impatient. Ya know. Like a buying his first new car. This only the second car in my life I absolutely had to have. R Red/Black Roof and Tech pack.

Well, If stricter CAFE standards for MY 2018 will prevent Ford from producing a 2018 GT350 , Ford needs to produce at least 10000 GT350 Mustangs for 2017 to meet the demand.
I wish Ford would make 10,000. That would be great. CAFE regulations should be abolished. I really hope people wake up.

I am looking to pick up a 350 non-R in 2017. What would be the best timing strategy as far as contacting dealers to try to secure a 2017 allocation.

I called a few but they basically had no idea about 2017
They should at least have a wait list for it. They should have a general idea of their allocation based on their 2016 allocations. I put my name on two waitlists so far.

Not being an ass here, but why does Ford have to produce to meet demand? Just cause people say they should?
How many GT mustang, bosses, etc have they sold in the last 10 years?
The majority of these people are Mustang fans and Ford fans.
If in a year or 2 all they offer is 4cly eco boosts putting out
350hp with no real Muscle car in the line up, the risk losing thousands
of long time loyal customers. I suspect in one way, shape or another, they
will have a muscle car as long as they can. With them now building a car
drawing people from the Porsche, BMW etc camps. Can't imagine they
would want them to go back.
I say its an exciting time to be a Ford fan :)

Likely 3600/yr, which is right in line with boss 302 production, and a number that has been mentioned recently. They are already past 2000 cars for 2016 as it is, so 3600 total not likely.

5000 was a rumor started by the notorious mustang manny
The 3,600 estimate is for the 15 and 16MY

That we can all agree on! :)

The way the statement was phrased I think 3,600 is for 2015, 2016 and 2017 production all combined. I would love to see them make more, though.

I can't find the exact homologation rules for IMSA GS, but I think that estimate is extrapolated information based on them and more than likely a floor on production, not a ceiling.

2015 is 100/37, and that's all.

The way I understood the statement was 3600/350 for 16/17 together.

I am not sure if your serious about that or not.

CAFE has likely driven alot of innovation into the automotive world the only thing that comes close is the new crash standards.

Furthermore there is alot of ways to to credit towards CAFE, versus the end of the V8. Active Grill Shutters, 1234YF Refrigerant, and such

HEV's, PHEV, small forced induced engines are the savor of Halo cars because it's Corporate Average Fuel Economy. A big reason BMW with to carbon, they don't really build fuel efficient vehicles. But light weight forced induced cars is how you get there.
