the 17 has either the electronics package (recaro seats) or convenience package (leather seats/heated and cooled). everything else is the same between the packages. personally, the recaro's are awesome.

I already have a base GT, so I wouldn't be missing anything I don't have, or need really. Couldn't care less about the heated cooled seats or climate zone. Now having sirius, android auto, that's another story. And I do like the toggle switches. Never sat in Recaro's so don't know if I would find them comfy or not for long road trips since there's no adjustment on them. And I don't know anyone with a PP for me to sit in them. And honestly as dead set as I was on magnetic, I saw a few pics of a black shelby and now I don't know what color I want >.< My GT is black, and keeping swirl marks down is a pita.

I have a 2017 with the electronics package. You get the toggle switches, the big screen, all the electronics EXCEPT the heated/cooled seats. I don't know about the base car...but the 2017 electronics package has basically everything I wanted. If you are looking at a 2017 electronics, I'm betting you would be very happy.

I haven't seen one with just an electronics package. And if I do pick up one with the comfort I may see if someone with the shelby recaros wants to switch. Seriously could care less for heated or cooled seats, sound heavy and I know they rarely worked on the GT's

I have a 17 base and I can tell you that your not missing anything important.

No XM, but also no XM roof zit either. I stream via Amazon prime so I dont miss it. No Nav, but again, iphone maps nav is way better anyway. No toggle switches, I wanted those, but lets be honest, they are just a gimmick as you can change the exhaust via the steering wheel quicker.

The most important thing is the Recaro's. They come in the base (or with Electronics pack) and they are awesome! Granted, they are not for everyone, but I think next to the exhaust/sound they are my next favorite thing about the car. Good luck.

17 convenience here.

Love the seats. Love how comfortable the car is.

I suppose it's all about personal preference. To me, my car is literally perfect.

Well now my new dilemma is the color. Don't care about interior options, can't make my mind up on interior. I was so dead set on magnetic, I love the black trim on it how it pops out and separates from being one solid color like black in black. However I've seen a few pics of black shelbys and have fallen for that too. Plus I get reminded how much I love a black mustang. Could literally pull my hair out. Between a 60k black with convenience or magnetic base for 57

My next shot is a magnetic 17 without the convenience package, meaning base radio, that they want two grand extra, bringing it to the same price as one with the convenience pack. So if I can talk them out of the ADM then it will be 57k
Even at 2k that's not bad, although you said it's a DD? ive got the 16 track pack and just use my iPhone music and Bluetooth Sirius radio, but I also don't DD. Don't be scared of DD'ing with the Recaro's, they are great!!!
I don't want this to become an ADM war so this is just me speaking, I paid an ADM higher than 2k and after having the car 3 months, I haven't even thought about it sense.
I also just sold my 15 GT/PP with Recaro's, you can't compare them. 2 totally different seats.
And yes the black is unbelievable even just to look at

If I had the money for the adm I wouldn't care as much, just going over 60k puts me outside of my comfort level.

at first i wished i had the toggle switches...UNTIL i learned i can press "mode +" twice on the steering wheel to get that exhaust sound. great call!

Yes if 60k is your comfort level stick to it. Don't ever let a car payment be a burden. I really hope you can deal your way into a 350, you will not believe how much more car it is than your 15 GT. As I said I just sold my 15 GT/PP Recaro's that I had supercharged full exhaust , Eibach spring s and bars ,, over 600rwhp,,,ext you get the point. Sold it because it wasn't as fun to drive as my 16 350

17' base is the same as 16' track
17' electronic means 16' track adding the big-screen with navi
17' convenient means 16' tech adding the coolers and suspensions

I was going through the same thought process as yours, but it only lasted for a few minutes as I asked myself "it's a damn sports car and I want all the sport-car related options"...regardless if i use them or not.
