It will be quite lower, and the needle sweep seems to go well past the 60mph mark before they let off the gas.

We'll know for sure very soon once the magazine gets their hands on them wont we? But I'll bet a weeks pay everyone hoping for an 11 second stock Camaro will be incredibly disappointed. Most people struggle getting a 580HP ZL1 into the 11s.

That prediction was made with all things being PERFECT!!! A one off solo hero run not a normal thing. And by all means if a car runs 12.3 "supposedly" by the maker then it has a good chance since we all know what private drives have done with cars on private track rentals. All things eqaul what is the time Ford claimed vs the fastest ever stock time for the s550? Even if it don't hit it stock it won't take more than a tire and tune to get it.

The car weights 3339 lbs and has 335hp! That should be expected. A 335i weights 3555 lbs as comparison and has 300 hp. The bmw 300 hp is more like 335hp cause they are underrated.

Whoever's hoping for an all day 11 second stock SS is f*cking high(I don't think many seriously think this is going to happen. I think some of the guys around here are trying to pretend that chevy guys are all hoping for this so when it comes out and runs 12.3-12.5 "all day" they can claim victory!). Whoever's hoping for a low 12s stock SS will be happy. And whoever is hoping for high 11 second stock hero runs better be an amazing driver. I think they'll happen, they will be down 130hp to the ZL1 but also down like 3-400lbs. I'd bet the same guys that can go 11.6X in the ZL1s or 11.2X in the GT500 or 12.4X in a '15GT would be able to go 11.9X in a 16SS

Ford never said the S550 was gonna be lighter. They shaved weight off the frame by using different materials. Then a bunch of fanbots got real exited and attention to detail went out the window and rumors started.
GM claims and stands by their claims about the performance numbers, just as they did about the weight.
Your examples are not even the same.
