Bragging about torue @2500 is like bragging that your half chub looks huge. No one bangs with a semi. Who launches at 2500 anyway. More like 4K. And you won't see rpms below 5.5k the rest of the race.
Even with the longer powerband it looks like the camaro produces more net TQ through first gear. The camaros graph is well above the GTPPs throughought first. This additional area more than makes up for TQ produced in the stands last 500rpm.
Just curious. How does the gtpp have an advantage in first. It looks pretty clear that the are under the 1st gear curve is greater for the camaro. I would think the only advantage is that you are going faster at the end of 1st. This really isn't an advantage since the stang would already be...
Word, just looked into it more. Scumbag dealer lol. But if sales stay as shitty as they are for much longer they'll have to start giving everyone these incentives.
Seriously. On one hand this shows that in at least sparts of the country you can get an SS for almost as cheap as a gt. On the other hand, if the price are this chap and they still aren't selling, then chevy is in trouble.
I'm not sure what you perceive GM's "attitude" towards the corvette and Cadillac to be. How exactly are they saying piss off to the lower and middle price range? Is it because the T4 isn't out yet? Once it is there will be a Camaro offering from 25K up through 50K.
Just to be clear, the...
I really don't know anything about the limitations of DI. I see you post regularly about it. If one is going for serious power and deep into the single digits, is the ls3 a better option than the lt1?
Dealership near my house has 2 base vettes advertised at 49K and 50K. Not a bad deal. I wonder if they'll still be there in 20 years when I can finally get one lol
I don't understand the obsession with high revs. If you have a (relatively) lower TQ motor that can rev higher (but needs shorter gears) how is that any better than an motor with higher TQ than can't rev as high but as a result can move a car with longer gear ratios? you could literally tape...
Didn't think so, I'm curious how many v8 models are sold in the 30-35K range. This is where Camaro doesn't have an offering. Would really prove how much the cost difference hurts them.
I'm guessing GM analyzed the 5th gen and saw most SS cars were optioned into the upper 30s lower 40s. They figured start at 37K under the guise of having more standard equipment. Probably figured their demand would be relatively inelastic and buyers that would have otherwise went for a...
