Hey guys,

I had a chance to run the car this past weekend here in Charlotte NC at Zmax, and I was blown away by how good the car was bone stock. This event was more of a feeler. I wanted to just get a feel for how the car would behave.

A little background, I ran a 2015 white GT with the PP option. I have been autocrossing for a while now:)

I literally removed all the trunk junk, kept the tire pressures where they were, since the car was delivered, and just decided to just give it a go. I was very impressed and literally under drove the car, because I was not expecting it to be that good. Then I pushed on with my subsequent runs, and what I experience was a car that was very well balanced, even on the not so great for autocross stock Pirellis :)

Below is the video of my fastest run with a passenger. Since this was not my camera, I didn't really had a chance to do any video editing. On top of it, the sun was glaring, and I apologize for that.

Please skip to the 2:50 mark.

I was consistently pulling 1.08G in the right hand sweepers, and 1.10G in the left sweepers.

This car will be prepped next year to run ESP Nationally. It is replacing The Boss 302 I used to run this year. Here is a video of the Boss at Zmax a few weeks ago for refence:

Cool! What do you think of the 2015 compared to the boss? What do you like better?

Good stuff… looks like fun. Need to hear the 2015 opened up with exhaust like the BOSS is. Cant wait to get mine first, and second; track it!

Fun! Did you have it in Track mode or did you turn off all the electronic aids? How would you compare the steering response between the two? How did you like the powerband?

I ran it in track mode with everything off stability/traction control. The steering is much more precise and there was tremendous response coming through. This allowed for better car placement, and I always knew what the front tires were doing. The Boss steering is numb in comparison. I just had to know that I can place the car, and that it will stick. Over the years, I've just learned to trust it, but without much feedback.

The 15 will under the same treatment as the Boss, and it will naturally sound just about the same. Waiting on KW to come out with their dampers, Sam Strano to develop his sway bars, and a couple of set of 19x11 Forgestars to be available. I'm only able to carry over the Sparco seats, and the light weight battery from the Boss. Everything else had to be sold and replaced.

That's amazing to hear. I only have the experience of my 2010 GT, which was the last year for a hydraulic system. Always thought it was decent but had not autocrossed with it, so was a bit leery about the EPAS. Figured they would make it better for this generation. For daily driving it seems very good. I can't wait to try it in Track mode sometime.

Good luck with the changes. I look forward to your impressions.

Nice and tight suspension. For the size and weight of this car, there wasn't much role either.

Hey Jadrice, it seems you and I have a mutual friend. Let's call him AB. Used to run a STI built by Draco.
