I haven’t replaced yet my fog light bulbs with led ones, because I never use them. However I decided to do something about that, because the other day I turned them on and I didn’t like the way they looked.

Any suggestion for a led fog light bulb that would work with our European cars? I found this on eBay, is this fine?

I highly doubt these will even fit! I got mine from Bling Auto in Australia. Both the daytime lights, and fog lights work great!

I remember that the space inside the fog light housing is very tight, and you need a short lamp for replacing.
I swapped the entire fog light with the US led stock one, that fits perfectly without any modification.

Thanks Stefano. I might consider doing this if I cannot find a led bulb that fits. Did you find those on eBay?

So can anyone suggest a led bulb for our fog lights? Maybe you John577 as you have experimented almost with everything related to lights?

I prefer to simply replace the bulbs with leds, instead of spending a small fortune on new fog light housings, as I almost never use the fog lights, LOL!

I'm running the Philips X-treme Ultinon. The opening needed a little bit of help from a dremmel but otherwise they fit fine.

I have ordered JW Racing LED's with P13W socket for my DRL's but I realized that maybe BOTH lamps are lit during DRL-mode and only the rear fog light during "fog light-mode" in the spoiler lamps. Does anyone know if this is the case?

I don't care if it's the more yellow light while using fog lights, but if both DRL and fog are lit in DRL-mode, then I need to get more lamps...

Hey guys, I’m new here so thanks for all the information! Even though this is an old thread I want to share too.

As for the stock EU fog DRL (P13W), I found another bulb that fits, from Osram! And it’s available in Europe.

They ship worldwide, here’s a link:
https://www.powerbulbs.com/eu/product/osram-ledriving-sl-premium-led-p13w-single

I have them installed myself. The only thing I do suggest is to swap the black Osram O-rings with the OEM red O-rings. They are bright and white and the shape of the bulb looks very nice and OEM like.

Odley enough they mention this in the description, otherwise I would have bought them!
Not road legal – these bulbs do not have ECE approval for use on public roads

Osram & Phillips do that a lot actually, I remember having Phillips Diamond Vision halogen on my first car “not being road legal” too, but the technical control in Belgium said that there is no problem at all. Color of the lights must be yellow or white that’s all. He said I can’t see the difference between a legal Blue Vision bulb and the so called illegal Diamond Vision. Same goes for this LED, why would they disapprove this one and approve a cheap “legal” Chinese LED. Doesn’t make any sense at all if you ask me.

Hi EngelenV,
I bought Osrams Leds on your recommendation but dont know how to manage to fit them as the bulb housing is straight, the existing socket is L shape. If included a photo of the Osram bulb. If there is anything I need to do to get them to fit let me know, please. Also the Osram bulb seems toowide to fit in the lens aperture
