I have experience w/ many higher hp LS1s that never exhibited any of these issues. Reciting internet propoganda?
I bet you have. I know better than to "debate" with you, so I'm going to leave this alone other than saying no, most of the information is from other sources rather than internet propaganda. I don't do a lot of forum trolling on Chivy sites like you do on this Ford site.

Im with you... I dont get the hate of these cars.
I mostly get irritated with people who put the LS1 too much on a pedestal and act like it is the best engine ever created. Mostly Chivy fans who always used to say the SBC was better than the SBF and then when the LS engines came out they thought the LS was way better than the SBF as well... totally ignoring all the design changes that made the LS virtually a modern day SBF.

Way too many people got 290-300+ rwhp on the dyno.

The car was a mid to high 13 second car. In the hands of tiny fraction the car ran low 13 high 12s. The low 13s high 12s were nowhere near the norm and needed a great driver. It was a hero run that should not be expected.

Magazine tests and ringers from gm where and are the norm. Like I said....I owned two of them. Those cars would fall apart in your driveway. Nothing but junk from gm.

This.

I have a buddy who is one of the biggest GM fanboys under the sun, but even he freely admits that the LS design owes a lot to the SBF....
