I am finally going to switch it up on the S550. Swapping the D5's for some new 20's. I won't divulge the new wheels yet, as they are in the works and a new wheel for 2025. I won't even have them until December of this year. But they will be 10" on the front and 11" on the rear, and fully forged. I am new to 20's on any car, the biggest I have ever ran was 19's. So I am looking for tires already and need/want some recommendations. Mostly on sizes. I don't want the "stretched" look.

I’m also looking at 20’s, the below are pretty close to standard PP1 sizes :

F = 255/40 ZR 19” 688.34mm
F = 285/30 ZR 20” 680mm

R = 275/40 ZR 19” 703.58mm
R = 315/30 ZR 20” 703mm

I ran 275 35 20 and 305 30 20 on mine when I had 10 and 11 wide wheels. Came as a combo from LMR and it fit real nice and looked good...

285/35 front
305/35 rear

Can also do 315 in the rear. 275/35 in front is fine but your sidewall does start to get a bit short.

I run 285/35 on 20x10 all the way around as an FYI

305/35 on the rear? Aren't those too tall?

It’s a bit tall yes but it’s doable, there are quite a few folks here that run that size. If you go to 315’s I would do a 30 profile and not 35.

This is a good site to compare sizes. Size 1 is your original size from factory, Size 2 is your new size. General rule of thumb is within 3%. Anything outside of that starts to have an effect on gearing, speedo, etc.

Yes but it's easy to fix the speedo.

My stock 19's had 255/40 on them I believe. My D5's are 255/45/18 up front and 295/45/18 on the rear which is super tall. It gave me the look I was wanting. Now, I'm getting away from the drag look. But I'm pretty sure the stock tires were 27.05" tall.

Would you post some photos of your setup, especially around the rear? I got a pair of 18x10 Welds for drag radials to pair with my 20x9/20x10.5 Weld set-up. I'm running Falken FK510s 255/35 and 295/35. , and I recommend these tires.

Forgestar F14's deep concave.

Front: 20x9.5 +29 - 265/35/R20
Rear: 20x11 +56 - 315/30/R20

The front wheels did tuck in a little more than I like but some 10mm spacers fixed that. I would like to go wider in the front but also want the sidewall and diameter nearly identical so that's the size I settled with. Only 0.4% difference in diameter and exact same sidewall.
