I am going to pick up some SVE SP2s from LMR, but I don't want to go with the Nittos based on what I read about wet and cooler ambient temperature performance. I am looking at Continental a Michelin based on feedback I have read. From what I am seeing, these sizes would be my two options:

1: Continental Extreme Contact Sport
Front: 285x35 R19
Rear: 295x35 R19

2: Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Front: 285x35 R19
Rear: 305x30 R19

Ideally I would want a 305x35 R19 in the rear, but that is not offered for either of these tires from what I can find. I am lowered on Steeda progressive springs. I do not think I want to go with 325 in the rear since they seem to poke out with these wheels and I do not want to have any rubbing issues.

Are you asking for our opinion on your two choices, looking for other suggestions, or just passing along your plans?

I was looking for recommendations on which way to go option #1 or #2. I am leaning toward the Continentals due to price, but concerned about the rear look with only 295 on the width.

To be devil’s advocate, I have the Nitto 555 G2’s in 285/35 and 305/35 on 19x10 and 19x11 (from LMR). No they do not perform as good as Michelin’s or Conti’s but they’re also ~$600 cheaper for the set. I’ve never had any issues in the rain, even hard rain ~80mph. If you’re not tracking your car they’re not bad for the price. And I wouldn’t run any summer tire below 40 degrees anyways, period. Get snow shoes or all seasons for colder temps. I believe most of the negative reviews are on the first gen 555’s, not the G2’s.

True, but then I cannot get the super sports in 285x35 R19 in the front. I really want to stick with that size since it looks like the perfect fit based on the photos I have seen.
After having a bunch of these, I think it terms of equalizing looks you should either do 285/325 or 275/305.

The 305 PSS look a bit stretched, while the 285 are flush with the wheel so if you go with a 305 the better match up front would be a 275.

If you go 285 up front, the better match look wise is 325 out back.

My 325's don't poke out at all. They're dead flush with the top of the fender.

My 325's poked just slightly. Now have 305 DR's with no poke.

I ran into the same dilemma. Not a fan of the Nitto G2s. I ended up with 275/35/19 and 295/35/19 Conti Sport contact Extremes. Very happy with these. A 325 will fit an 11"wheel but not optimal.

Previous owner put the same combo on mine, 285/35 and 305/35 G2's. It rains a lot here, and many times Ill use rain mode. Dry traction issues were helped a lot by lower tire pressure. I've been running 30 cold rear, 33 cold front.

When these wear out I will likely go to Michelin Pilot Super Sports just because I like Michelin. I also may also go to 305/35 all around.

I dunno, you could get the Michelin in 285/40/19. The difference in overall diameter is 0.6", to the 305 35 19, which in terms of sidewall is just 0.3". Which is just over a quarter of inch. If it's appearances, I don't think that 0.3" in sidewall would be readily noticeable.

I'm running the 305/35/19 on my rear and am using the stock 275/40/19 PS4s on the front, mounted on Shelby CS5 wheels. The difference in sidewall isn't that visible.

How do you like the look of the 295 in the rear? Tucked in too much?
