Hitting 170 MPH on public roads and then posting it to YouTube is even more stupid than the felony reckless driving.

Waiting for the video where they impound his car into forfeiture, although it would probably get many more likes.

Total used douche nozzle.

I don't think there's any place for that around traffic. That was just moronic IMO.

With that said, on a deserted road, doesn't matter if you're doing 80mph in a 55 or 167. Breaking the law is breaking the law. If you're okay with doing 80 in a 55, what's it matter if there are no risks to the public? Also, you best have the skills to hold on to that car at that speed and know the road. I'd be afraid of catching a pothole.
167 is FAR more dangerous than going 80 (which is probably at the upper end of the design limit of the roadway) which would most likely be a felony for good reason. The energies at 170 MPH are quite a bit higher than 80 and the road isn't designed to support such high speeds.

All of this talk made me think of an old Lee Majors movie called The Last Chase. Have a look at the trailer here.

Hit the speed limiter in my '11 GT500 on a 2 lane wooded road 10 years ago. Scared the need for speed out of me. While I still get a rush, I tend to stay in the double digits. I prefer the acceleration over trying to peal the paint off the car.

Beat the HORSE DEAD thread šŸ˜³. Yeh I get that and sadly their will be another thread with the end result. Thats the probability with just way to many people seeing this video someone will call him out And like many here have stated about Goose and sincerely he seemed above this and truly disappointed he had to post it. And yeh brag about some speeds in your GT500 and or any car but DAMN POST all your actions to incriminate yourself WOW beyond WOW.

Easily the best movie ever produced in the history of Hollywood. No doubt it brought in bazillions at the box office and on Betamax. Lee Majors' finest performance of all time, post Six Million Dollar Man.

I wonder if he detuned the Mustang for his son? Thatā€™s what I did when I gave my 2004 Mach 1 drag car (with nitrous and a 6 point roll bar in it), to my son on is 15th birthday. I had my tuner set the rev limiter at 4K, to keep him out of trouble.
