Not the 2020+ cars. 13-14 GT500's did.I know the Mustang isn't the most aerodynamic design in the world, but I would still kind of expect a bone stock GT500 to be able to break 200. Does it not?

You’re probably aware the S550 GT500’s come with a limiter set atI know the Mustang isn't the most aerodynamic design in the world, but I would still kind of expect a bone stock GT500 to be able to break 200. Does it not?
Yeah but thats literally just an ECU tune away. I think his point is couldn't a GT500 with JUST an ECU tune do this? And if so.... whats the big deal? You’re probably aware the S550 GT500’s come with a limiter set at
180 mph. Some will go a little faster
stock, but not by much.

I mean in 2000 I changed my Escort to be electronically limited from 106 to 255, doesn't mean i could hit it, but thats like saying I changed the limiter, then did 110 and became the worlds fastest Escort. MANY other guys did the same thing. So it seems odd to me NO ONE has put a pulley/tune on a GT500 since 2013 and gone faster than 204MPH, more so when the 13-14 could already do like 198-200.
He was asking why a bone stock GT500 couldn't do 200 mph. IMO, it probably could,Yeah but thats literally just an ECU tune away. I think his point is couldn't a GT500 with JUST an ECU tune do this? And if so.... whats the big deal?

I agree with you. I've been waiting since day one for someone to take the limiterThe car in the video was the GT500 Venom 1000. The car was tuned and had a pully to get 1000 hp. You would think if at that hp it only did 204, the stock car is not going to get to 200 with a tune???? How many more ponies do you get out of just a tune? e85 you would get a few more but 1000? I don't know.
I still want to see a completely stock car with the only mod being being the speed limiter turned off going all out to see what it can do.
They may have known due to aero, the car cannot do much more and are going to save the next all out for their 1200 hp version? That would be my guess at letting up but I am no professional race car/test car driver.

Not even close
10-12 mph on top speed is huge, the difference between just under 190 and just over 200 is easily a 100hp+ differenceDefine not even close. There’s a member here with a stock cftp thats just under 190 at daytona.

The guy I responded to asked if the car would do 200 bone stock, it will not, and it’s bone stock top speed is a long way off 200.Its governed, not out if power. And the car isn’t set up for top end.

If a stock 2013/2014 GT500 can do 202 mph, I'm guessing that the '20-'22 GT50010-12 mph on top speed is huge, the difference between just under 190 and just over 200 is easily a 100hp+ difference
Yes, and that's with that 'big' wing holding it back and (most likely) the windows down.Define not even close. There’s a member here with a stock cftp thats just under 190 at daytona.
