As a new 10spd owner I’ve wondered this as well. It depends on driving conditions.. my usual commute conditions have it skip 2nd. I didn’t know if I was going crazy or what lol..

I have never seen this thread before but being in track mode all the time I’ve never noticed. You did remind me of one of the stupidest features I’ve ever had on a car. My 1996 Trans Am with a manual had the skip shift feature. I don’t know if anybody remembers that if they’ve had one but at lower speeds it would make you go from 1st to 4th gear. A little $10 mod wire got rid of it but what a stupid feature that was finally gotten rid of.

I haven't noticed it much on mine but I haven't had it long. My F150 had the 10 speed and skipped 2nd and 4th regularly so I'm kinda used to it.

Hi,

I thought that there was something wrong with my transmission but i see it is a standard behaviour.
The thing is, the acceleration that car makes to 1 to 3, sometimes you don’t need that; you need something more easy.

Does anyone notice their 10R80 equipped Mustang GT skips 2nd gear in Normal Mode. My 2019 Mustang GT with 10 speed auto when starts from a dead stop goes from 1st to 3rd, skipping the 2nd gear when the drive mode is set to Normal, it does not do that in Sport+ mode, only in Normal Mode. Is it because the software is trying to get better gas mileage in Normal Mode ?
