  1. American Racing TTF wheels

This is a photo of them in black. I wished there were more photos of these on mustangs out there. They must be very new to the market
  2. American Racing TTF wheels

I reeeeally like these wheels. American Muscle shows having them in 20x9.5 and 20x11. Theyā€™re one of the few vendors showing them.. would a 285 front snd 315 rear work well with these widths? This is a photo of the grey ones on a bullitt model. I was gonna go with gloss black on my carbonized...
  3. Automatic shifting really harshly in Sport mode

I typically do all of my own oil changes but due to the common issue of the trans fluid level being low from brand new, think Iā€™ll bring it in to have the oil changed and the level checked. When mine is in Sport mode.. the 4-5 shift can be really harsh. It hasnā€™t done it every time but most of...
  4. Installing non active exhaust on ae car

hmm wonder why it throws it despite it being plugged in
  5. Installing non active exhaust on ae car

Old thread but Iā€™m looking to keep my AE open 100% of the time.. and plan to do a X mid section to ditch the reso.. I know people suggest the simulators from grimmspeed and I think AWE makes some (and theyā€™re cheaper). If I went with the bracket route instead, I assume theyā€™ll stay open just...
  6. 10R80 skips 2nd gear in Normal Mode

As a new 10spd owner Iā€™ve wondered this as well. It depends on driving conditions.. my usual commute conditions have it skip 2nd. I didnā€™t know if I was going crazy or what lol..
  7. To lower, or not to lower.. that is the question.

Thanks for the links! Looks like the comfort package would be something a little more ideal for my application. What sort of required extras would I need to make sure my alignment is in spec? 95% of its use will be highway driving so alignment and tire life is important. Iā€™m guessing CC plates...
  8. To lower, or not to lower.. that is the question.

Iā€™ve had a few.. the suspension on them was what theyā€™ve used for decades at that point. Solid live rear axle and more or less the same design as they have now up front. I wonā€™t be tracking the car outside of maybe a few passes down the drag strip this winter. Here in Louisiana, thatā€™s the prime...
  9. To lower, or not to lower.. that is the question.

well comparing to the S197 platform I came from.. it rides like a Cadillac lol. Yeah I know lowering it is inevitable. Guess I need to seek out the best riding lowered setup. Itā€™s my daily and our roads are atrocious. Just clicked 2200 miles today.. I think wheels will be first though. come to...
  10. To lower, or not to lower.. that is the question.

thatā€™s the tire size Iā€™m planning to be as well. 19x10 squared but I think theyā€™re +33 on the wheel offset.. itā€™ll be a wheel and tire kit from LMR. I could go 11s out back but I like being able to rotate.
  11. To lower, or not to lower.. that is the question.

I was leaning toward the Steeda ones mostly from the reviews people gave on them. My last car had BMR 1.5 performance springs. They were linear rate which made things quite bouncy.. I went totally for the look on that car. After driving my new car, if feels like an ole Lincoln Town Car in...
  12. To lower, or not to lower.. that is the question.

I think Iā€™ve lowered every mustang Iā€™ve ever owned. That number is in the double digits. After picking up this ā€˜21 GT, it reminded me how nice stock suspension rides. Our roads here are pretty trashed so itā€™s appreciated when the suspension is a little soft. now after looking at dozens upon...
  13. Looking to get back into a S550 *Update*

yeah Iā€™m real happy with it.. In the photos the dealer had for it, it appeared that it had tinted tails but theyā€™re in fact tail light covers.. didnā€™t think those were still a thing. Hopefully they arenā€™t too much of a pain to remove without destroying the original taillight. Not super crazy...
  14. Looking to get back into a S550 *Update*

Welp, out with the S197 and back to a S550 this was on my drive home from the dealer this evening. had to take a couple of quick shots
  15. Looking to get back into a S550 *Update*

I thought it was magnetic but for 2021 they went to carbonized greyā€¦ oops.. Iā€™m sure itā€™s quite similar to magnetic
  16. Looking to get back into a S550 *Update*

absolutelyā€¦ you wonā€™t hear about the 10,000 people with a good experience., youā€™ll hear about the 100 people who have a bad experience. I believe the gubment banned carvana in a few states due to their poor title/registration handling practicesā€¦also, they bought a lot of junk site unseen from...
  17. Looking to get back into a S550 *Update*

nope, I bought the car Iā€™m selling out of state and I paid to pay the same tax rate.. we just get the banana on taxes in our parish. Had I lived in say Lafayette parish.. it would be nearly 3% less in taxes.. which is amazing, since our roads are utter garbage. Years ago I blew out a tire...
  18. Looking to get back into a S550 *Update*

On a side noteā€¦ I wished companies like Carvana and Vroom were worth a damn.. it would make life easier to have more possible options.. theyā€™re both quite a shit show from the reviews Iā€™ve read on bothā€¦. Great idea but handled terribly. I wonder if Carmax is any better. I have my own financing...
  19. Looking to get back into a S550 *Update*

well Iā€™d like to have something a little more modern.. better ride quality among other things. I donā€™t mind the clutch so much since itā€™s not a hard clutch at all. My 45 mile one way trip to work isnā€™t so bad since the majority of it is on the interstate with the cruise on 70. I was about to say...
  20. Looking to get back into a S550 *Update*

According to fordā€™s build your own feature.. just a premium with 401a, 10spd, and a couple of BS options like a spare tire etcā€¦ itā€™s 51k.. plus in the state of Louisiana and the area I reside in.. taxes are another 10% on top. So thatā€™ll be 56k-ish.. I canā€™t see a dealer coming off the sticker...
