The backup camera is already powered, I was suggesting grounding that black cable to the chassis.Yeah im worried the reverse camera line is actually to power a camera not to ground it. I will look at the reverse camera it self I might have to ground it manually perhaps stock its grounded by the radio.
That harness I dont see any where to connect the female side. It doesnt go to the unit it self
Also, have you tried the reset?
1) open driver's door
2) disconnect the battery
3) wait 5min
4) connect the battery back
5) drive for 5 miles with minimal steering
I read a few threads where the backup camera does this with the factory radio if the camera is disconnected, especially without the battery disconnected. The dealer had to flash it, but that likely won't help if the unit is controlling the camera now.
