This seems like a strange comparison. They really played down the Mustang GT.

I'd still get the GT.

Yes, a very strange video, comparing three low-production specialty cars to one mass-produced car. But I'm sure people cross-shop those all the time :)

I guess if I could find this clever a way to write off expenses on a weekend trip to Vegas, I'd do it too.

No other explanation I can think of for this comparison. The cars are nothing like each other.

What is the mustang even doing in that comparison. I understand the hellcat but a 435hp mustang.

I think it really says alot about the car when you see it continually being compared to vehicles that are much more expensive and more exotic.

Lol

Stupid comparison.

Gt vs. cars way above its class.

Just shows how good the gt is to be included in lambo territory.

Just wait for the 350 and 500.

I'd bet even the lambo will be pooping its pants.

Dodge really seems to have done a great job with the Hellcat. Everyone seems to fall in love with the car. I think the craziness of it just gets to people (in a good way).

I'm not impressed with the i8, mostly because the looks are just not quite right. I think the Tesla S is more impressive. I do think BMW will have some great hybrid/electric cars in the future though.

I hate comparisons like this because those guys get to drive cars like that and I don't

Agreed - I definitely found it odd that the Mustang GT was included in this. I suppose the S550 must be doing something right!

I'm actually surprised that the i8 beat the mustang from a high speed rolling start. I figured it would beat it from a dig, but did not expect it to faster from a roll.

My thoughts as well. it was a thorough beating. Almost as if the Mustang GT let off the gas. Very surprising.

Then you see by how much the hellcat beats the i8 and then you really just how fast that Porker really is compared to the GT. Sure you can modify the GT to spark the hellcat. But factory stock? With a car that big? That's Impressive. Even though they are not direct competitors.

However, The unwashed masses will just see this as "challenger [and everyone else] destroys mustang," which is likely the biased intent of the "comparison."

Kudos to the mopar crew. That's some engine. And have to hand it to them with the forward thinking transmission choices too (just hope they get those kinks worked out quickly).

Would love to see whatever replaces the gt500 in a similar comparison within months of release also. I'd guess even the mighty lambo will be seen in a new light from a roll.

... interesting...? Happy to see the Mustang compared to such high caliber cars, but it really doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Still cool video!
