  1. Winter wheels/tires for your Bullitt

Car is gone, great winter set for your Bullitt here https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/fs-winter-wheels-tires-for-s550-almost-new.165150/
  2. Montana FS Winter wheels & Tires for S550 - almost new

Sold my Bullitt, but still have the barely used winter set with less than 1,000 miles. Will fit over PP1/2 Brembos. Ford Performance 9x19 ET 30, Nokian Hakkapelitta R2 255/40R19, OE Ford TPMS sensors, OE Ford TPMS training tool, Gorilla black solid lugs. Winter's coming, I need these gone! I...
  3. Bullitt's rear brakes

Are the puny rear calipers that come on our Bullitts really "Brembo" manufacture or design, or is it only the front calipers? A guy on the other Bullitt thread is telling everyone the cast iron rear Ford calipers are indeed "Brembo"...
  4. Sold the Bullitt, Ford Performance back panel for sale

After 2 years my V-8 itch was scratched, left knee replacement in a few weeks and crazy good offer from Vroom added up to decision to let it go. I put the stock back panel on, so the *perfect* Ford Performance back panel with the Bullitt letters can be yours - it's about a 10 minute swap. Packed...
  5. Bullitt went Tango Uniform last night

I was driving sedately last might on a country road, but the Bullitt suddenly bucked and ran like crap - as if fuel starvation over and over and aver.... A big orange "Service" light came on the dash, along with an orange wrench symbol. Pulled over and the car idled fine, but starting out again...
  6. Drain plug leak

Only 8,300 miles, and the Bullitt started marking its territory on the garage floor :frown: Put it on the lift; it was clear it was the damn yellow plastic drain plug. Ford doesn't offer the O-ring through retail parts, so ordered a new ass'y, Ford p/n KX6Z-6730-B Since I'd just changed the...
  7. 2 year caliper re-paint check

While swapping the Michi PS4 for winter wheels and rubber today, I thought I'd see how my DIY caliper repaint is holding up. After carefully inspecting, I can only find one rock chip on one front caliper, and nothing on the rear  The Bullitt is now ready for winter fun : we've already...
  8. oil consumption

I have about 7,500 miles on the Bullitt now, and oil consumption seems to have stabilized at a quart every 2,500 to 3,000 miles. It sounds a bit high, but this is my first Mustang in 50 years so not much to go on. Normal, or do I have an engine that likes to drink? I've been using Pennzoil...
  9. Teaser :-)

  10. Front Spoiler not doing it for me

I had the Bullitt up on a lift today, looking how the black part of the front spoiler is attached to the green part. I think I could remove the black, and run "bare". I might have to fabricate some returns on the ends, but that's fairly easy carbon fiber or glass composite parts to build. What...
  11. Oil pressure

I'm concerned about the shockingly low oil pressure on the Bullitt. When warm at idle, it's 15 psi. When motoring about sanely it's about 40 psi, but when I boot it it rises to ~85 psi. Ford must have some electronics that relieve oil pressure via some bypass, perhaps for fuel economy?? It...
  12. Key fob went tango uniform

Today I went to take the Bullitt to have the windows tinted, but the the car wouldn't recognize the 2nd key. I know it had previously worked, so I replaced the ($7.50) battery - still no joy. Is there a procedure to have the fob re-recognize the car?
  13. Spring means no more studded snow tires !

It's finally looking like we might be finished with the white stuff! Although we still have 3-4' on the ground the daytime temps are creeping towards 50, while the nights are still below freezing. I'm seriously thinking about swapping out the winter wheels and tires this weekend, and pulling the...
  14. Steeda clutch spring installation

Although i installed the Steeda Clutch Spring several hundred miles ago, I've been waiting to post about it until I had enough experience to offer real world experience. There's several threads in the transmission/driveline section regarding this, but you guys might not see them. I can...
  15. Help with electronic dash gages please

My '19 Bullitt is not only my first Mustang, but first Ford. I've been trying to set up the gage displays, but can't seem to find a way to show engine oil temperature; just rear axle temperature. The owners manual suggests that option is available, but I'll be darned if I can find it. I'm...
  16. Heads-up on Roush hood strut kit on a '19 Bullitt

I finished the installation of the Roush 2015-2017 Mustang Gas Hood Strut kit today. I chose the Roush version because it has much more structure on both the hood and fender brackets compared to to others models. It's stronger, but no one seems to have problems with the other brands...but I'm an...
  17. Winter wheels that fit our Bullitt's

I thought I'd start thread on what winter wheels fit our cars. It's already snowing in Montana; I needed to get right on this. I picked up a set of 4 Ford Performance 9"x19" ET 45 for under $480 shipped to my door. These were Ford Performance wheels for the 2015 EcoBoost Mustang with the...
  18. Red and Green

I admit it, anything red against DHG makes me crazy, it may be because I'm red/green color blind, donno. Today I removed the red reflectors on the rear, and replaced them with dark smoked lens with LED lighting. To my eye, these look much better than the red reflectors against a DHG field...
  19. Bullitt "Dog Bowl" exorcised

I replaced the rear panel with the un-drilled version, and then found a set of NOS 2001 Bullitt emblems to replace the dog bowl. The Ford Performance rear panel won't fit our 2019 trunk lids without a little surgery with a Dremel, but if you're even moderately handy the job should take a little...
  20. K1191 is home

Bullitt K1191 found her new home in Northwest Montana last night; it's likely the first new Bullitt in Montana according to Ford's Zone rep. It had 6 miles on it when I picked it up, and really enjoyed the 80 mile trek home along our country roads. I LOVE the sound of the exhaust! It was a...
