Like the title says. I have reached a decision point. A few things have converged making the GT350 not too optimal for me.
1. I had free overtime for the last 3 years. I was working 70-80hour weeks every single week since then. I work from home on a laptop sitting on my ass. Long hours aren’t...
For the past few months, when I would get into the car and first start moving, I would hear a loud crack from the dashboard area. Sounded like plastic flexing and shifting. I figured it was the heat and the chassis flexing a bit when I first get in causing the dashboard to shift. It happened...
I know this is old news, but I had an experience that reinforces the oil burning possibility of this engine. I got 40k miles on the car and never had to add more than a splash of oil between changes. Less than a 1/4 of a bottle. Honestly I didn’t even need to do that. It was just slightly low...
I have a clunking from passenger rear when in uneven parking lots. I’m lowered on FP springs. Sounds like the little rubber isolator on the top of the spring is mushed and now the spring is jiggling.
Can you get to that spring hat without dropping the entire rear subframe? I’m hoping my guy...
I think the prior owner was a big boy. I have the Recaro package and I love them. I’m 6 foot, 190, I fit in the seat like it was made for me. But the last owner put a beating on the driver seat.
The left thigh bolster the foam has been smashed down and I can feel the plastic poking up in the...
Looking to film in car video at an event coming up. I have a generic Go-pro. How are people mounting these things in the car? I want it about eye level but I don’t see a way to do it without wearing a helmet.
How is your camera mounted in your car?
Just curious when you all had to replace rotors/pads. I’m at 40k miles, no track time, daily drive it but only 5-10 miles a day.
I’m starting to see wear on both front and rear rotors, but it’s not obvious to me how much rotor life is left. Pads still pretty thick, rotors showing a bit more wear...
This car is something else. It’s not the fastest car I have owned. Doesn’t have the most horsepower. Is not as modified as some of my other ones.
But it is special. I’m not sure if it’s the looks, the sound, the fact that it’s a “Shelby”, for whatever reason, it is an absolute magnet for...
Anyone have an issue with 1st gear popping out when at a stoplight? Sometimes when I put it in gear, and then take my hand off the shifter, it jumps out to neutral.
I have been making a conscious effort to make sure it’s fully seated now, it’s possible I was being sloppy the first few times...
Anyone have an assembly or exploded drawing of the GT350 front splitter and under tray assembly? Or list of part numbers including fasteners. Had mine on the lift recently and it’s pretty bad. Fasteners sheared off, damage to the lip in a few spots, it’s just got 40k miles worth of scrapes and I...
Got Stainless Works catted headers and LTH res delete installed. Parts from Beefcake and Lethal. 1100 for the install. Very happy with the work. No leaks no rattles no issues. Shop earned my repeat business. On time and on budget and quality work. Project 9 in Brevard County if anyone needs a...
I am trying to figure out how to do the intake/lth/tune thing, and I’m seeing vastly different opinions in other threads I searched.
I see an option at Lethal to order a JLT and PBD tune. I’m guessing this includes a tuning device and baseline tune to get me started, and then I follow up with...
There is foam missing from the lid area of the intake on my car. I never thought about it much but today I noticed the car was pretty unhappy rolling off the clutch in stop and go traffic. Intake temp was 110. Outside air temp 85 and sunny. Traffic was brutal. Once I got back up to speed, it...
Im no stranger to sports cars. I’m blessed. I have had Mopar, Corvette, Audi S, BMW M, and now the 350. The amount of morons who aggressively attempt to get my attention is light years larger in the 350.
In particular, it’s 2 classes of drivers. Dudes in lifted big tire pickup trucks, and...
Got a quote from a shop that I trust fairly well to swap in the FP springs and he said the book time was 6.5 hours. It surprised both of us. The fronts are no big deal, but he said the rear is more complex and requires dropping a bunch of the suspension to get the springs in and out. Or at least...
Really considering a dark wrap for awhile. Some sort of charcoal or dark grey. Is it possible to wrap over the factory racing stripes without damaging them later when the wrap comes off?
In my head I’m just picturing the wrap coming off and pulling up the stripes with it.
Seen a few white 350s with the blue GT350 and stripe down the lower side, homage to the original. Considering it, can’t find it. Is that a custom job I need to go to a vinyl shop for? Or are those being purchased online somewhere?
Anyone got them or know where to get them?
Has anyone been brave enough to try the AZ850? They are ludicrously cheap compared to Michelins and have tons of great sizes. I tried to dig as deep into as possible, and I believe they are associated and or produced in same factory as some Federal tires in Taiwan.
The major buyers right now...
Anyone got a speed shop they trust in the central and east central Florida area? Need a bunch of stuff done on a GT350 and have future plans that will need a good shop.
Don’t really see anything jumping out searching the usual way with google.
Got a GT350 that I need a bunch of stuff done, parts just sitting on my garage floor. Shifter, fluids, headers, res delete. And I plan on various other stuff in the future.
Don’t really see any obvious quality speed shops locally. Anyone have a shop they use or trust in the Central Florida...
