Good/Great condition, 235/50/18 - OEM wheels and General G-Max tires (replaced by dealer before CPO purchase, less than 5k miles, fully balanced, etc.) - recently replaced with 19's, so taking up space in the garage. $800 OBO - SOUTH JERSEY, outside of Philadelphia.
One of the oldest "mods" is to undo the bypass return hose and cap the intake hole with a 1" rubber chair pad. Yes, it could make your car a little slower, and yes, it's best to spend $ on an actual BOV or bypass plate, but has anyone done this just for fun? I had a chair pad laying around from...
I know my '18 has an electric motor, instead of the hydrolic style that could leak, but how much is "too much"? I usually lower the top once a day for the 30 min drive home, then back up again overnight and throughout the next work day. Thoughts?
Every OEM wheel I've ever seen is hub centric, whereby the lug nuts or studs just screw in and are torqued. The wheel is perfectly centered and mated, and there you go. I was surprised to see my '18 OEM wheels are lug centric, with conical lugs and require 150 lb ft to install. This is 50 lbs...
Not sure if this panel is the same on coupes, so posting here too. This panel has popped out from behind the door rubber seal, and I don't see any clips or anything to hold it in place. Any ideas on how to make it stay closed?
My interior panel is popping out, just behind the seatbelt and the rubber door seal. I don't see any clips inside that may have come loose. Ideas how to keep it from bowing out like this?
A bit if cross-post here, but has anyone Plasti Dipped the OEM 18"s? While I wait for $ to buy black 19"s, I'm considering blacking out what I have with glossifier on top. Thanks!
I really look forward to when I can afford the black 19's (performance pack or black appearance pack) but until then, I'd like to plasti-dip the stock 18's. I've done several sets over the years, and for $25, it's worth it. Any one have any good pics of the 18's plasti? I prefer high gloss...
As you may know, Ford used to offer (free of charge) seatbelt extenders. The rear buckles are installed very low in the cushion and are difficult to operate with a booster seat. My dealer confirmed they stop producing them after 2014, and my 2018 was out of luck. I was concerned with aftermarket...
First time protecting the top, and after 2 years, any factory spray had worn away completely. While some choose to paint it on with a foam brush, I used the 303 Fabric and Tonneau cleaner as described, with a little going a long way. Soft bristle brush in circular motions. Luckily, it wasn't...
The top trim seems to be separating, and pops back open when I clamp them together with my hand. I assume the top bracket is interfering. Any easy way to keep it closed?
Took my 18" alloys off to paint the calipers and realized that they have a lot of play left and right when pushed back flush with the rotors. They can twists just shy of 1/4" or so, left or right on the lug bolts. They don't seem to be hub centric, like most OEM wheels I've seen. They get nice...
The belt holder on the shoulder of the seat doesn't seem to allow it to retract smoothly. What am I doing wrong? When I take it out and let the belt dangle, it's perfectly fine.
I'll upload a picture tomorrow, but I noticed that the felt-like material sealing the front window to the tiny rear window is rubbing off on certain places.
Is this a huge concern? Both pieces are sealed and there's no air or water getting in, at least, not yet...
As a newbie to cloth tops, I'm excited to put it down whenever possible. What's the average lifespan of the motor and does the motor require any maintenance?
Well, I stumbled upon the "woke up to a foot of water in my car" posts late last night and now I'm freaked out. Can anyone tell me the location of the 18+ front cowl drain holes? Keeping them clean seems to avoid a lot of hassle later on. I read a lot about the "floppy rubber drains" in early...
My front plate is arriving next month and I (luckily) don't have the front bracket installed from factory. I like the idea of Craig's Customs mount in the original location, without having to screw into the bumper. With that said, everyone suggests the "Sto-n-Sho" type that mounts very low and...
Hey all! Newbie here (less than one week of ownership!) and wanted to introduce myself. It looks like this forum is a great resource for everything S550! Reddit seems to be more for showing off the glamor shots ha. Anyway, South Jersey native, first time mustang owner, 2018 CPO EB Prem Conv w/...
