As you may know, Ford used to offer (free of charge) seatbelt extenders. The rear buckles are installed very low in the cushion and are difficult to operate with a booster seat. My dealer confirmed they stop producing them after 2014, and my 2018 was out of luck. I was concerned with aftermarket build quality and liability in case an accident occured, and they ordered a 2014 extender to try just in case. To my surprise, it worked perfectly. Same size, same design, holds strong. Interestingly, the front and rear OEM belt buckles have completely different designs. Maybe the front are for an extra airbag sensor? Anyway, if you need a rear extender for a 15-19, get the 2014 and try!

Interestingly, the article claims Ford doesn't recommend it, but the part used was for a nissan, not made or affiliated with Ford. Now I'm confused...
The extender changes the location of the buckle. This in turn changes the geometry of the way
It is supposed to work. This is nothing new. It was the same back in the 70’s when my kids were young.

Darn. Well, I guess I have an extender for sale now lol - anybody want it? Literally free at your local dealer. $20 takes it!
